Im probably a bit ignorant.

I purchase a ginat Jolly Ball from a local farm supply store. The type with a big handle. It is semi hard but plastic/rubber but gives when the dog bites it. It floats, and has taken alot of abuse. The dogs love it. I went online loking for more but none of the generic pet sits or working dog sites offered it. Baffled, I did a google search. Apparently, this is marketed for horses. I just wanted to point out to people that may not realize how great these "Horse" Jolly balls are. At an average price of around $16.00 online, it is by far the best dog toy for the price. The one I have had for a few months no no puncture in it. The dog LOVE the damned thing!

Funk man gives this FIVE STARS * * * * *

I have one too, they do make them for dogs as well I believe. I have one with a whole drilled in it and a huge braded rope through the hole knotted at both ends. My pup loves thrashing it from side to side beating his own ribs. LOL One of the few toys he hasn't demolished.

Jolly Balls are great items.  The other one is the "teaser ball", no not that.. LOL  A rigid plastic with holes cut in it and a smaller ball inside.

Been using Jolly Balls in all their different sizes and many styles for many years.. they can chew them up though and eventually they get enough teeth holes to create one big hole but overall they last the longest and all the nut jobs around here just love them!!

The patio table has 5 right now! they have some new ones at Petco..... squirrels, raccoons, etc and the tail is the handle.. very cute!!

I can't find the one I have. It is made by Jolly Ball, in huge letters. No ball inside and it floats too. My Ding Dong throws all of his toys in his water bucket, so I know what floats and what doesn't. Have had it for about 4 months now and he is just putting teeth holes in it.

Bought it from a place called PetPawformance, they have all the cool dog stuff and best food selection and prices around here.

Finally replaced the jolly ball that I got from the breeder when I picked up Rikka as a puppy 1 1/2 years ago. They are great and one of her favorite toys.  Throw a "grounder" with it and it will go straight until the handle hits the ground then it leaps into the air! Petsmart has them in 8" dog sizes.

Jolly Balls are my oldest male's favourite - but they've done a number on his teeth.  It could be the way he constantly mouths on them or it could be genetic - but the new puppy is not getting one!

You cant beat the price for the size & durability. Since the dogs love them SO much, it is now my toy of choice. All other "gimmicky" and "novelty" toys designed to be appealing to us humans, are easily destroyed and over priced. While we are on the subject, what do all of you keep in your kennel runs for dog entertainment?
