Two Moons

by Two Moons on 19 December 2012 - 16:12

Ibrahim,
You may not understand our laws but we fought very hard for them and will not give them up without another fight.
You may not understand our people, but we are just like you, we are just like everyone else, because we are everyone else.
Our country is made up of people of every race, creed, and religion, from every corner of the earth.
We have laws that make everyone the same, equal, no better no worst, as fair as we can make them with justice for all.
Our only problem is the same all countries face, corruption.
We are not perfect.

Now once again we have to stand up for our rights or lose them.
It is the desire of those who corrupt us to remove our rights to corrupt our system even more.
This is why we bear arms, this is what keeps us free, this is why we have laws, and why our Constitution was written.

Moons.

Folks...there is NO way to get the guns off the streets....too many...in Camden NJ they had a gun buy back this weekend and had 1100 guns turned in. How many do you think are still out there...within the last 3 days the run on assault weapons and magazines has been enormous....almost all sold out....who do you think bought them..........peace

I'm sure in his grief you asked him if he appreciated Obama's speech.
You may use any name that suits you Judron, crazy or whatever else you can think of.
But Obama used this tragedy and so has the media.
Who do you suppose benifits.

I know who bought them.

I will tell you all what bothers we the most.
Children are being killed and maimed everyday around the world in wars and conflicts they have no involvement in at all.
Just to go outside or to school can get them killed, innocent children.
Bombs fall on them in their homes while they sleep.
Where is the compassion for them?
Is it any less tragic?

Who mourns their loss other than their families?
You, Obama, who?

very good point, moons.  every day of the week children disappear.  sometimes the bodies are found later and sometimes not at all.  every day of the week children are shot by drug dealers, drug addicts, gang members, bullies & sometimes even family members.  every day of the week children commit suicide because they are depressed, drugged, bullied, caught up in a cult or whatever.
every day of the week, somewhere in the world, children are killed because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  the united states government & military are probably the most reknown child killers of the world, but we justify it under the name of war.  we don't see obama crying on t.v. for the loss of life in iraq or afghanistan.  the only reason we see his fake tear over the
sandy hook children is because he intends to use this tragedy to further his own purposes.  he and eric holder choose to arm the muslim brotherhood and other insurgents in the middle east and they choose to arm drug cartels in mexico and the u.s.  how many children have been gunned down by these weapons.  i shudder to think.  yes, his performance is disgusting & very hypocritical.  :(

I'm sure in his grief you asked him if he appreciated Obama's speech.

nope....he and others volunteered the info themselves while we were hugging and saying prayers......I'm not advocating for gun laws....the last thing I want is the police being the only ones with guns....period. By the way.....I don't see anyone crying over the children killed in Afganastan, Iraq, Camden, Newark, Compton, Asbury Park, Seattle....I can identify hundreds of hypocrites.......

Judron,
I'm very sorry for your friend's loss.  The Sandy Hook School shooting was a horrible tragedy and one that needs to be used as a cause for change.  Between the movie theater shooting, mall shootings, and countless other school shootings something obviously has to change.  Funny, how almost all of those shootings and the hundreds shot and killed were all done by "legal" firearms and "law abiding" citizens....."law abiding" until the day they carried out their despicable plans.  I'm glad Pres. Obama was able to console your friend and the other families, I'm sure they appreciated it.

That is quite a bit different than the criminals I deal with on a regular basis that have guns.  Last week I was in a fight with a drug dealer over a gun he pulled on me, two days ago I drew down on another subject and disarmed him as he was about to shoot some one else as they fought.  Neither gun was stolen, those guns were just in the hands of criminals, but they were not planning on walking into a school, mall or theater to kill innocent people and fortunately they weren't armed with assault rifles.

Slam,

I don't know if I would classify the Newtown guns as "legal".

The boy shot & killed his mother, he stole the guns and carried out his mission. He certainly didn't legally purchase them. IMO

Unless I'm missing something that is the way I believe it took place.
