Len,

You said

Please tell me why Sue a respected Champiobship show judge bred from a female with Bad elbows!!!
This is terrible for someone of her status to be seen to be doing something like this, its terrible for our breed, its bad enough when it happens to good animals with normal elbows and hips but to do it when you know things are not right well what more can be said.
I am only repeating what people are already saying so i suppose its nothing new to everyone.

Well let me tell you that I have a bitch from that litter, she is an exception bitch and she has no elbow problems at all, and has recently been graded as "Normal elbow". So that puts an end to that argument and shows a sensible choice of stud.

As for Sue as a person, I am sick and tired of seeing posts about how Sue is, how she does things etc etc, and about the show scene dying off. For everyone reading this post Sue has bent over backwards to help both myself and Shelley as newbies in the breed, she has helped us without question, without favour, and with honesty and no political rubbish. She is an exceptional judge of the breed and the work she does often gets criticised when really you all know it deserves praise.

I think its about time people showed support and courtesy and encouraged people like sue to stay showing and encouranging new people rather than nit picking and driving them away.

Can anyone please tell me why a dog with such a high hip score gets the CC ?? Nothing against the the dog as he is a nice dog but to me a CC is supposed to say to people " here we have a dog that conforms to all the crieria of the breed standard and can help promote our breed" this dog wont even get a breed survey class 1 so is it the right dog to promote our breed as being "correct".
As i say i have nothing against the dog or its owners but sirely there must have been a dog that fitted the breed standard better than the CC winner??
Maybe judges should have hip score information about dogs to hand!!!!!

The Kennel Club has NO rules whatsoever to EXCLUDE any dog from being exhibited at any of its shows, including its PREMIER SHOW - CRUFTS, because it has BAD HIPS or ELBOWS and a whole host of other  DISEASES.

That is the KENNEL CLUB in GREAT BRITAIN. - this should be known World-Wide -

In the meantime our GSD PARTNERSHIP is "climbing into bed" with the KENNEL CLUB and trying HARD to persuade GSD breeders to become "KC accredited breeders"
A KENNEL CLUB SCHEME WHICH IS "FUNDAMENTALLY FLAWED"

The "Accredited GSD Scheme" looks like it is being SACRIFICED on the alter of "ARSE KISSING THE KENNEL CLUB",
GOD HELP OUR BREED -
BECAUSE THE GSD PARTNERSHIP WILL NOT"

The female that you are referring to Len was presented at the Körung on the 30th March 2007 in Schweinfurt. At that time KM Dieter Nitschke made her Kkl. As this was before it was necessary to have elbows screened the Kör is valid and so one assumes that the female was bought on her show record. However, it was known that elbows, like hips, were to be graded with effect from 1.1.2008, therefore, the question is would a prudent and responsible breeder have x-rayed the elbows before breeding from such a female, or, is this just lack of experience?

West Yorks used to have an Agreement, not a rule, that Committee members would not exhibit at their own show. Perhaps they will consider bringing back that Agreement to avoid any future embarrassment.
