Red Sable

by Red Sable on 19 December 2012 - 03:12

Ibrahim comes from a different world where those who bear arms use them, much more than our so called 'civilized' nation. In Canada we already had gun legislation, (have now scrapped it as it was too expensive) and many here have no guns either including moi.  Also many here believe the  Gov't. has their best interests at heart.  Fools.

Anyway I grew up with my dad having a 22 rifle to shoot dying cattle, rabid skunks, or a neighbour that happened to piss us off.   (Just kidding, my dad is 78 still married to his childhood sweetheart and has NEVER had a disagreement out of anger with anyone in his life.)
It is a scary world we live in, and even though I haven't a gun I'd never ask anyone else to give up their right to defend themselves.

by Ibrahim on 19 December 2012 - 05:12

Ziegenfarm,

I'm so sorry to hear that and I appreciate your courage and you defending your family, I hear you, you have a problem in your country, it's not safe and you need to protect yourselves, I can understand that very well, the question is how?
I say if all can buy a gun that is not a solution for the whole society, it might be for individual and only in lucky situations, the right solution is to prohibit gun possession, carry and use for citizens, in that case less criminals will have the opportunity to get a gun to use and ultimately less need for a civilian to own a gun. Your society should sit and think (why is it our country is not safe, why are there so many mad people, why there is so much of crime and such) and work on the roots of the problem, owning a personal gun isn't a solution.
Joanro,

It is not my intention to dictate on you how to live, it's only exchanging opinions and if many think I am intruding I will have no hard feelings to quit this post. To say you may use guns against your government is just crazy and outrageous and has no justification whatsoever.

Twomoons,

From you I can accept to hear anything, I know you're sincere, that said I agree with what you said but I am astonished that some of you have same mentality of disastrous thinking and beliefs as many do here in this part of the world and I know for a fact that those people here are damaging our countries and our economies, I wouldn't agree to stupidity whether it's American or Arabian.
You have no right to carry and use a gun, that article in your constitution should be changed, government should act with a fist of steel on crime and corruption, letting all the mad and the wise to own, carry and use guns is just crazy and shall worsen the situation.
No one has the right to shoot near me in the name of freedom, jihad, you name it, no one should have that "freedom".

by Ibrahim on 19 December 2012 - 06:12

I just can't have the right words to carry my thoughts properly to you, I have mixed emotions, how can you say such a thing, I can understand where ill beliefs come to some of our crazy fellows here, but you and in America !!!! You can have whatever beliefs as long as you don't step on others, you have no right or license to kill based on what you think is right or wrong, only government has the right to use guns against foreign attacks or inside crime, I just can't imagime my neighbor making a mistake while cleaning his gun and killing my only daudhter, I can't imagine him saying he has a right to own a gun to protect himself, what if I have a disagreement with him and he looses his temper and uses his gun against me!!! Oh my God.
How can an exremist believer be allowed to own a gun and in a crazy moment he decides my daughter does not have the right to live because she does not wear Sharia dress and shoots her, and some one come and tell me he has freedom in the constitution to own a gun !!!! what constitution is that which may lead to people killing each other with legal guns!!!!

by Ibrahim on 19 December 2012 - 06:12

Just look what is happening in regards to that shooting in the school, many of you are searching for excuses for why and how come the mother had guns at home, and some are dodging around the root of the problem, Obama was truly having the right feelings or not, using the incident politically or not, please wake up, your society is facing serious sickness, address that itself and come out with solutions, don't think individual think as a nation, think as a society, how come you know breeding is a compromise and total society isn't, individuals should show compromise for the wellfare of the society, unbelievable !!!!

by joanro on 19 December 2012 - 07:12

Ibrahim, you must stop putting your values on us. WE HAVE A RIGHT TO CARRY GUNS? YOU DON'T. Do not put your government rule on us. I know you will come back and say you are not, but you are. This is not a one world government, your country is different than ours. People are not, in general, as irresponsible here as what you seem to fear in your country. Perhaps that is why we enjoy our freedom, and you don't. But you need to stop trying to dictate what our constitution should or shouldn't say. If you don't like it, your prerogative, but it's not your place to tell us what our government or society should do. Work on your own, don't worry about ours.I'm not saying this to be disrespectful, but you're out of bounds.

"please wake up, your society is facing serious sickness,"

Absolutely agree Ibrahim, and our societies are led by our Gov't's.  I think it is even sicker than we all could imagine.

Red Sable, I agree politics is almost always dirty, governments are corrupt and conspiracies are there and not only in America, Canada, Britain etc, conspiracies have been there since long history as well as corruption and greed for power and money. I believe in certainty and need for change, but in peaceful manners not by force.
I say this because we currently live in a place on fire and have enough knowledge and experience of violence consequences. Example, Assad in Syria could not have killed as many he did if the movement against him remained peaceful, but when protestors carried and used guns it has become a war between two parties and he managed to survive till now, have a look at Syria and you can see a country in wrecks, billions shall be needed to rebuild what was damaged. Those who provide weapons to rebels in Syria are part of the problem and no one should think they seek the welfare of the Syrians. Any one who has common sense should realize that availability of arms to the public is a dangerous thing no matter what excuses are debated.
Jihadists destroy their own societies saying governments are non-believers and corrupt and should be removed. I totally agree on the part of corruption and need to remove present kings and presidents but what is really fatal is how? I say using force and weapons is wrong and destroys societies and countries, while peaceful means save the society and the countries.
What some here claim that they need guns to protect themselves from the government is highly dangerous, availability of guns adds to the danger, and that is similar to what I explained about what jihadists do, who can claim that extremist groups in the US do not or can not exist? no matter what names they call themselves, they are viruses.
On the other hand a healthy society does not make a citizen feel insecure to a limit to buy a gun for protection, when one is not safe at his home or work then that is a big problem in the society which needs to bee seen and cured, excuses and or dancing around a problem won't solve it, ignoring a common problem and or acting individually will not save the whole society, action by government backed up by the majority is a necessity.

Ibrahim, this is not Syria, never will be, and
Americans have had guns since the beginning. You act all freaked out like as if everybody just got a gun yesterday. Relax, Ibrahim, you worry about your gov, and we will remain the US, without your recommendations that a US gov take over force US citizens into submission and disarm them. We won't let happen to us, what happened in Europe before WWII. Our constitution really isn't any of your business to say what should be changed....part of the problems in the world are people trying to impose their religion and beliefs, customs, values on others. Seems like you have a lot of problems in your own part of the world, without telling Americans what they should do with their constitution. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. There are bad people all over the world, and Americans have the right to defend themselves, whether it's a religious fanatic or a druggie. So, chill out.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this antigun-control message to all of your friends.
SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN!
SWITZERLAND'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.
SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
IT'S A NO BRAINER!
DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.
Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment!

It's time to speak loud before they try to silence and disarm us.
You're not imagining it, history shows that governments always manipulate tragedies to attempt to disarm the people~
