videx-knew you would not answer the points,as you have no answers-everyone knows you buy dogs in and then claim the success, and you in most cases get other to train them.i have given you my name twice before so no need to put it on here-cos I may go under some of YOUR MATEY champshow judges !

As always on here when it doesn't suit people they just ignore the problems and this is why we as a show breed are in decline. My original point was nothing to do with sue belfieds dogs being capable of winning 3 classes at her own show ! but the fact that she unethically( i my opinion ) entered.
I see also that at Border Union a few weeks back the judge and the winners are on the same committee at their own club-its so unethical and can't these people see that to any newcomers the situation stinks-or more likely they do realise this but don't care !

I would suggest to all newbies get on a club committe as fast as you can-and start stockpiling the cc's.

Paulie well said!!!!  Len, you said " i am only repeating what people are already saying" that's called gossip!!! You talk a lot of bull, you have no proof, because there is no proof. And i'm sure if you asked Sue she would tell you, but you would rather listen and repeat gossip. Your comments are nothing more than nasty spurned on by envy, so sad. Had Sue not won any classes, would the backstabbers still be complaining? I think not, as you were all probably behind her females, and that's what's bothering you nothing else. Get over it, and get a life.  Liz

Mmmmm... on a committee for nearly 10 years, showed at our own shows... no CCs.

Pencil if your agenda is as you say, why can't you be pleasant?  Why are you invariably nasty, particularly about Sue and now about her dogs?

The quality, worthiness of the animals are not in question, it is about how it CAN and WAS perceived,
The said dogs CAN and HAVE won previously in the best of competition, In BOTH CASES - did they need to enter these two shows ?? Controversy was bound to follow.

It has nothing to do with green eyed monsters, it is people giving their opinion, What do people do - pretend it's ok when they think it's not. This is not personal, I am neither showing or breeding. And like all animals in question.

You only have to go back a couple of weeks ago to Tony's memorial to see the difference in the comments!!

I think in both cases it does make for bad feeling, At the end of both shows there was allot of very unhappy annoyed people,
This does not help in such a times of dwindling entries, and unrest, it only adds another nail in the GSD show coffin.

With a little more thought all this can be avoided. Lets hope as Dave said it was just  another hiccup.

Joyce, your right, absolutely, and yes it is about perception, i myself made the same point, but, and it's a big BUT,  does it need to get so personal? i dont think so.  Lets hope we are not having this same debate next week after BGSDTC.

 Regards Paul.

Agree with Paulie and Joyce...   No rules were broken, and so personal an attack isnt right, this is what I was trying to get to in my above post, although perhaps it didnt come over clearly.    Given the chance - without breaking any rules - it is natural to exhibit your dog under people that you know appreciate that particular animal........   doesnt make the animal or the person any the worse, just makes them talked about.
Life at B`ham & Dist GSD Assn shows has been so much easier since our committee dont show or handle at ur shows... we can choose show judges, entertain them, and generally lead a nice un hassled life without fingers pointed.  Its just my opinion, but I think just to leave yourself out of your own clubs show is a little thing to do for your club nd your peace of mind.

Hi Joyce, it may well be about perception, however, there can be no excuse for some of the vileness that has been spewed out on this thread; that has been very personal and some of it has been verging on libellous.

It's not so easy to get committee members and to find yourself not able to attend your most local show is unlikely to attract anyone to become a committee member.  I understand how it may look to some... if you win, but I hope most of us have a realistic rather than a pessimistic view of such situations.  If Sue was looking for dodgy wins... I doubt she'd be dim enough to choose her own clubs show... that's pretty obvious, isn't it?

One can only wonder at the spite that has been lashed out here by some... but they have little or nothing to say about some of the blatant iffy wins and situations that we have been subjected to... why?  Oh!  Pencil is just an nonentity with nothing good to say... ever, but what about the rest?  I'm bloody shocked at such vitriol.

Hi Miss b
It's a no win situation, The club looses committee for the sake of one show, Or they allow it and you have this scenario.

Going back to the previous posts regarding Sue's female She was out of coat, Had a good placing at the Sieger show under Bosl (the way the Germans judge it would have taken a higher ranked female to beat her) and showing as secretary.
There is no wrong in any of the above, but the first two coupled with the third leave you and the club open for
criticism.  Is it worth the hassel????

Christ... NO, it bloody well isn't.  It turns a hobby into a nightmare, thanks to a few; but why would anyone want to run the shows for these people either?

This is what every one is forgetting it is a HOBBY for most of us so lets not turn it into a nightmare this is a lot ado about nothing it was up to sue as it was up to the rest of us to enter this show or not and as far as i am aware every one who entered did so legally and above board
