divmstr1988, your story is one of the most incredible I have ever heard.

There are veternarians who can repair almost any defect in a tail, high carriage, loop or too long. They are very well known in the U.S. show circuit and one can see examples of their work at almost any GSDCA National.
Ralph Roberts used to pay close attention that these dogs did not get past him. Many other judges do not even notice the tails bouncing off the hocks.

In 30+ years of showing dogs, I have never heard of whacking one with a hammer and cannot imagine what the puppy went through or what kind of person would resort to this level.

Thank you for coming forward.

Rik,

don't know where you got that idea of someone whacking a dogs tail with a hammer, to my knowlwedge no one has ever said that, and if they had it is totally false. there are many fools around like to spread crap hope that's not your intention, no need for that kind of shit.
I am sure they are many vets out there that can and do many things to dogs, descend testicles, etc.......... not for me and same as the rest of the crap I have learned happens to many dogs in our sport.

Rik,

I'm sure there are many that want to turn this into a 3 ring circus spreading lies, Shame there are so many on here with nothing better to do than to start trouble. Hope most of the people here especially the experienced ones can see thru the crap and know the truth.
This is more a story about greed and ego that is to big for a person to handle.

Guess DIVMSTR1988 must of been right that all the WDA did to a certain breeder was just a political statement by a certain president for the WDA. SInce they have been waffling on their own rules and enforcing  the decision on this certain breeder in Wonderlake, Illinois. I also find it humorous how she just added a certain dog to her group of breeding bitches, that happenes to be owned by her and the president of the WDA. Guess this breeder likes to kiss and tell, who is in bed with her. WDA's president shows a real lack of character too.
I have heard divmstr1988 has filed another action item against this same breeder for showing a dog under a forged AKC registration, hear from him nothing being done, was actually at a show in Chicago this past weekend, where the catalog had dog crossed out but she still showed.
Wonder what this WDA president will also do for the NASS since either the owner or co-owner of this dog has to be a member in good standing with WDA, I believe co-owner is listed as divmstr1988's daughter who is a minor also not a member of the WDA.
come on Mr. president show us what balls you have, not that you are also controlled by this puppy mill like so many have always thought.

Vote as divmstr1988 said for Clay Meadows as VP, at least it will add a check to the president, instead of having a VP that in real world works for the president. definate conflict of interest there.

Back to the OP:  Sad that the breeder would not take the puppy back :( (If that was truly the case, and it wasn't that the original owner called the breeder who said, "sure," but the first owner realized they could get SOME money for the puppy and sold it on Kijiji.)
