Sue Worley

by Sue Worley on 09 July 2009 - 06:07

Pencil, it's more than likely that Sue didnot know the entries, if West Yorks runs anything like Essex, Sheila keeps all info under wraps until the catalogues are dished out on the day of the show, I as treasurer ,have no idea of who or what dogs are entered and neither do any other members of the committee !!

Sue Worley... you're right, but save your breath to cool your porridge, the truth is not what some of these people want, it's not what they feed on.

Pencil, does this mean you won't be taking me up on my offer of a wee chat? Pity, you definately need to talk to someone, maybe some anger management?  Liz

It is over a year now since Susan and I last entered anything solely owned at a Championship Show, not because we didnt have anything to enter but because of the increasing Nasty Backbiting of the people she found there. Having had no children, German Shepherds have been her life and passion for over 30yrs of our 33yrs of married life, I can assure you I have always had to play 2nd fiddle to the dogs and as many of you with children would know, that is as it should be, because in our childless marriage Our Dogs have been our children, our family.
Since the show scene had become more and more like a spiteful, vindictive, win at any cost Rat Race than an enjoyable, sociable Hobby, Susan decided she wanted no more part of the 'show scene' in the UK. We had a super Male Puppy by Bazi out of Daira who never entered a ring until he was 10mths old when friends convinced her to lend her support to the Open Show scene by entering him at Opens. She finally agreed to test the water with him at Open shows where he did very, very well, thank you, winning all classes entered, including Best Puppy except for the very respectable 2nd place he gained in the Puppy Dog class at the British Sieger Show.
Despite his success, Susan still refused to return to the Champ show scene consequently he was NEVER entered or attended one. Neither for the past year was any other of the dogs we have living here with us. FYI, the PGB winner K.Damera has not been shown since July 2007, that month she was 2nd PGB at St Helens Champ Show under a German judge who incidentally obviously liked the type of both of our females as Ch Daira took the CC at this show too, subsequently gaining her title and the Res CC was won by the 1st in the PG class. By the way, in reply to Karen C;s comments, St Helens in 2007 was held on 7th July, exactly the same time of the year as West Yks last weekend and Ch. Daira was hanging onto the last of her coat condition at that show, exactly the same as she was on Sunday at West Yorkshire, didn’t stop her taking the CC there either. Thank goodness some judges can see past coat.

The next show that year 2007, was the Irish 2 Day, where same female K.Damera WON the PGB Class with the female that was 1st at St Helens coming 2nd (again consistent judging). Daira was entered but Susan did not put her in because by then she was completely bald but at least it accounts for the previous successes or otherwise of two of our 3 winners on Sunday, the MPBitch of course didnt exist then. So, as Phillip suggested there is already a degree of evidence which shows a consistency towards the value German Judges place on our females. Though no doubt others like the Pencils of this world will find a sinister reason for those wins too and not that some will realise, but we should actually be feeling extremely flattered that so many consider Susan to be of such importance that she holds a powerful influence over the decisions made by so many World renowned German Judges / Kormeisters and without the added influence of a single German handler either!! Are so many of you really that Naive or Stupid? Or is it as I really suspect, just a bad case of Green Eyed Monster, a wicked, evil advocate for any person to have to deal with. If I had got my way Susan would have been shoving our dogs right up your noses for the past 2yrs, p*ss*ng you off like the others who win constantly and rest assured that now I will be doing my darndest to ensure she stays around a bit longer this time if only to P*ss you off a bit more, though undoubtedly the nasties will win in the end, after all why the hell would any genuine Hobbyist in this breed want to spend their day in a field with the likes of some of you, when she can enjoy our dogs just as much (if not more) here at home with me. At least you Morons have found something you can WIN, even if its only sickening off the opposition to leave the arena to increase your own chances whilst killing the sport in the process by lowering the entries.

I note those who talk the most sense are mostly from the 'old school', those who have been around long enough to know who I am through seeing me at shows and that’s more years than I care to remember. To those people and they know who they are, I extend my hand in sincere thanks. I have met these people many times at functions outside of dogs and I appreciate the fact they are still looking out for my missus in my absence.

Well said Jim, although i am sickened that you and Sue felt you needed to defend yourselves against the Pencils of this world. Who in my opinion is not fit to lick you or Sue's boots. Sue please do not let the likes of Pencil and co get to you, the gsd world needs more like you, keep up the good work.     PENCIL, if this makes me a " back slapper" so be it, rather that than a "back stabber"  Liz

Where are the results to show her female has bad elbows? In the SV listings the female has a kkl1 , have all animals in the UK had their elbows done before being bred from? You just another green eyed monster for Mr Belfields files len.

I find it very sad, and indicative of the current period  that we are going through with our dog showing / breeding hobby, that Jim Belfield has to come onto this board to defend his wife, when she has done no wrong, i imagine it's because she is sick and tired of deflecting the vitriol and bile she is receiving from certain individuals via. this site.  Perhaps if they stopped and examined their motives, they would  find that Envy is probably the driving force behind their comments, by the way, i'm envious, i wish i had those females, but i cant let it fester, i congratulate Susan on having the gumption to buy an excellent female, and then the skill and expertise to breed from her, i wish her well with her breeding programme, because it spurrs  on the rest of us to breed animals of a similar quality.

I am quite sure that she,  along with many,  myself included ,cannot be all things to all people, but she deserves to be treated with common decency and respect, and i am also quite sure that she would reciprocate that decency and respect where you to actually make your comments to her face.
I have stated on this board many times that i have no wish to get involved in a war of words, i am passionate regarding freedom of speech, indeed i will defend every persons right to have it, the only caviat that i would insist on, would be to just take a few seconds to think before you blurt things out.

  Regards, Paul Rattigan.

Can it surprise anyone that our GSD Breed Show Scene here in the UK is in very serious decline. Like many who have left it, I struggle to find any desire to attend our Shows. We are our own worst enemy, when we could and should be our breeds best friends. The solution is in all of our hands, mouths and our actions. I thought we had shown some positive signs this year, maybe we have had a hiccup, and maybe the Harry Emmett Memorial Show this coming weekend could be the start of something really special for our breed, it really is up to ALL of us.
