I think that the topic of this post is, "Thoughts on this potential breeding?", not, "Why and What Joanro decides to do."
Maybe people with actual knowledge of the bloodlines still feel the real topic is worth discussing.
It probably could have been a decent discussion, but, as per usual, all the BS drama had to enter in to it.

The topic of the original post is moot now. I do appreciate all the opinions and suggestions offered, and regret that Joan chose to believe and base her decision on 3rd party lies and half truths, rather than taking the time to answer my questions and verify whether or not the gossip she had heard was actually true or not (especially considering the source of the information).

As a result, I am continuing my search for a suitable stud dog to breed to Naccia in the spring.

I don't know quite what you are trying to accomplish, but to put your mind at ease, I do have verification of issues which concerned me in way of email from you to the "third party", which actually disclosed additional issue. And I only saw one question posed by you to me, about payments. However, you posted the breeding on your website before I could answer, so for me, that negated any further consideration, regardless of "inside" information. This is really nonproductive, and beyond ridiculous. I wish you success in your job search and prosperity in the future.

You only just received that email from me to the third party because I only sent it to them a few days ago, and the fact that said third party forwarded that email to you, and has not responded to me regarding the misinformation that they gave to you says a lot, although I do not find it surprising.

Again I reiterate that you should have contacted me about your concerns to begin with, instead of blindly taking the word of someone who is a known gossip (although I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what motivated them to say the things they did about me. I considered them a trusted friend and felt no qualms about using them as a reference-live and learn, I suppose).

klcabe.. hey for what is worth, I got PMS too about you after I posted potential stud dog idea of mine.... :o). They were good PMS ensuring me that you are an OK person to recommend a dog for breeding to.. lol.

Not for nothing, but it is my understanding that it is not unusual to see planned breedings announced on the bitch owner's website well before the mating ever takes place, since it is best practices for a breeder to have appropriate homes lined up for projected puppies well in advance of the bitch being bred... I believe this is especially true in Europe, since the SV limits the number of breeding per year a male can be used for.  Granted, there's no such limitation in the US, but it is responsible of a bitch owner to announce the intended pairing if they know that the pups of such a breeding would be best served by being placed in experienced homes...  It would be the courteous thing to do, however, to advise the owner of the stud dog that such announcements are going to be made, ideally in advance of such.

I wish both of these ladies well, and much success in their individual endeavors, and am just sorry to see the wheels of this fell off so horrendously.

And that an agreement was made to do the breeding before being announced on the bitch owner website.
