How is 12's conformation better then 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11? I know you gave some comments but i seriously cannot see it. I might just not know what to look at.

So far overall people are liking the dogs numbered on page two. The folks that usually critisize angulation and working lines together are staying quiet and bursting at the seams lol. Cmon, everybody put your two cents in.
If your late catching up. I placed some of my favorites on page one. Some comments led to a little test of sorts on page two. Go take a look and play.

I think it's typical to get different critiques of the same dogs from different people. Judges don't often agree either. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

I'd love to see them, but this dial up makes it very hard and mostly impossible to download all the pics.
I will say that don't like a steep slope on a dog and/or angulation in the rear so prefer many of the WL's .
Bomber in my opinion is weak in the pasterns and has more rear angulation than I prefer.

That is so true! What some people call a beautiful dog, makes me cringe. I must say, my taste has changed. Before I looked at a dog pictured, and just noticed the head, colour or bone, now I look much much closer.
I really prefer to see a dog not standing in a stacked position, as it is easier to see how it is really put together IMO.

Most dogs we have posted are set up with their outside hock back too far, not at a right angle to the ground giving them a bit more slope to their backlines than they would probably have standing naturally.

Ohhh I understand stacked mean the way the dog ins standing in shows.
I agree that they can look more sloped than overall but most gsd is sloped if you compare it to a mal

I have not put any dogs I like in this thread because I have done it before, and there are many dogs I like that does not mean I like the built of the dog because I like it working abilities or look ,because I like the very old gsd from the 30' s the way it was built back then not now
