I definately believe that it certainly helps your chances of not producing HD/ED when you have more than just the first or second generation that xrayed clear. That's why, IMO, the study of pedigrees are so important.

When I purchased my puppy I was new to working GSD so after spending some time researching I looked at her pedigree many generations of good hips but it is really hard to find a "I belive they call it vertical pedigree" brothers and sisters as some said this was also very important. You also read some peoples comments that say out of a litter of eight you may have two with working qualities. Being new it can be very confusing......

I would purchase a pup from any of you...with all the emotion you can really tell you all care about your animals. Love the fact that none of you demand the pup back if there is an issue and you will still replace the dog. Jenni I know for a fact you are an awesome breeder and would stand totally 100% behind your dogs and love your dogs as I have witnessed myself. When my husband allows me to get another I'll be sure to look up your kennel! I do hope some realize me as a future puppy buyer as well as many other future puppy buyers read the posts and we learn how different breeders react to different situations, issues, etc. You are advertising when you post whether you mean to or not :) I only wish I joined the Forum sooner and educated myself.
