OK- my head is spining. Just got an email from someone who says he has rescue. I dont know how he can have rescue since the shelter told me he cant be rescued till he is evaluated and he wasnt to be evalauted till tomorrow. I hope its true he has rescue. I am going to try to verify.  What a looooooooooooong day.....Thanks to all who offered to help!

LOL- the "safe" email we got did not mention who was rescuing him. I wrote and found out the rescue is the gal I am looking for a foster for!We almost backed off..... OMG! I did get in touch with someone from a 501c3 who said he could pull for us, but I had written back the dog was safe, for I was told it was safe. People shouldnt say a dog is safe when it is still in a shelter. Susan said he hasnt been tagged yet for rescue and that is what made me email the person who wrote he is safe, only to find out its the rescue I have been working with :( He is far from safe. I believe he will get his evaluation tommorw. He must be dog friendly for this rescue to take him, because they have fosters with dogs, so we shall see what his eval says and go from there.

You have assurance that he will go to Philly. I will try to find out about transport as soon as we know his eval.  I will try to find out how long he would need to be held for- I wont leave you holding the bag, if you can foster him. There is a transport leaving Florida he can get on to get up northto, as well, so we can see about him getting onto a transport either philly or Fl.

Marjorie, I just sent you a PM on how to get in touch with me today.   I will need to know by 5 today if I need to go get him tomorrow, as it is about a 3 hour drive for me to Arlington.

called you just nownow, Steph but got your answering machine. We got a 501 c3 to fax for him!!! The shelter said they wouldnt adopt out until eval was done. Then a worker said they dont do evaulations, so we sent an email to the rescue coordinatro asking for clairificaton. rHe has been tgaged so he is not in immediate danger. This all just came together. Our plan was to see if a local person would adopt him so he didnt have to be transported, and if no one local came for him, Fawn would foster for 2 weeks while transport is set up.
