Does anybody actually read threads? The guy found a home for the dog. Fuktards, LOL

I suppose not everyone reads every part of a thread, just sees the gist of it and responds.  Perhaps the heading could be changed to reflect the fact the dog now has a home.

Somebody just showed how smart they are by jumping on someone who is looking for a GSD for their kid...  Instead of finding out where they live and directing them to the local or regional GSD rescue outfit. 

Hi I was the victim of extreme domestic abuse on July 4, 2010.  My ex-boyfriend attempted to murder me by beating me to death and then suffocating me.  He broke, dislocated, and pulverized my jaw, broke and dislocated my arm, broke, shattered, dislocated and separated my collar bone from my shoulder and finally fractured my wrist into the palm of my hand.  I'm obviously extreme fearful for my safety.  I have consider purchasing a gun or a taser but think back to the day this happened and know if I had either of those in the house I would be dead.  So I have come to the conclusion that my best bet would be a retired military or police dog.  I just don't know how to go about adopting one.  If anyone could offer any help or advice I'd really appreciate it.  Thank you so much

 Sounds like you need more than an over the hill service dog. I would get a gun and a younger trained dog. The dog will give you the time you need to get to your weapon.

I'm sure you can find some reputable vendors on this site.
