To illustrate in further detail exceptional line bred dogs and importance of Sire and Dam genes at the same time lets go back in history to Fado von Karthago he was the son of Afra but his Sire Harro aus der Lechrainstadt was a great producer in his own right and so any linebreeding you find on Harro is also highly desired in a ped.. and again lets come back to see just how strong Fado von Karthago was as a top producer. Well known dog names that came out of him were....... Connie vom Kornerplatz......Gesha von Machiavelli....Dixi vom Hause Santiages.....Natz vom Tegelhous and thats is not anywhere near a compete list. It shows the power of linebreeding and what can come out of it.

A female that comes to mind from years ago, and one that I used to hear people talking about is Umsa Bungalow.
I really like the breeding behind Ina - what did the line-breeding on her, the one you mentioned, produce?

The line breeding on Females has more effect on the litter then the male. Yes males have the ability to produce larger #,s of offspring because of there ability to breed on a daily basis. Females carry a larger sway over temperament and extension of genetics. JMHO

Umsa vom Bungalow was mentioned, she was also a very important key female back in the 1970,s its common place today to find her or the Afra female at least showing up once in the pedigrees of some of the top working dogs of today,Umsa was a powerhouse producer. I don't think the litter I have line- bred on( the Ina female ) is in the same bracket as those two females, but I think she is still very nice female to have a line-breeding on, the pups are still very young so ask me in 2 more months on how they ended up, one never knows with pups,I,ve seen awesome peds where you think they would produce extremely nice only to end up producing poorly or perhaps average.
