Blitzen ,I am confused with the ratings from different organizations.Fair OFFA is Normal SV etc..
If my girl is Fair OFFA-Normal SV ,i will be deep in thoughts if she is necessary to be used in breeding.Maybe she will be used, maybe not.
If she is Borderline OFFA - Fast Normal SV or lower she will definetely stay out of breeding.
Here she is ,when she was 6 months old...two months before..out out out of coat!

If hip status were my only breeding criteria, I probably wouldn't use a fast normal or OFA borderline either. OFA wil not issue a clearance number for a borderline and asks that the dog is xrayed again at a later date, usually 6 months. I don't think the SV asks for that. They allow a fast normal to stand without any further evaluations. Also, there is no way to know if an A1 would receive an OFA fair, good or excellent and some would argue maybe a borderline. It might be more valuable to you to know the status of your female's litter mates and her parents and their siblings production records.

It has been my experience with dogs that hasve been submitted both to the SV and OFA that A2 equates FAIR OFA

It's hard to compare one scheme to the other as it's all objective due to human interpretation. I just don't see the point in getting hung up over ratings. Some of my friends routinely re-submit a fair with the dog not sedated and they then get a good.  I had 2 littermates that both got mild HD from OFA. Both vets said no way, so their owners re- did them, both got goods. That's an upgrade of 3 ratings - mild to borderline to fair to good. They were sedated both times. And fair, good, excellent, all normal per the SV.

Even with excellent hips there are a number of GSD's I would never consider breeding anyway.

One of my dogs was rated borderline by OFA at a year, A1 by the SV. At 24 months she got an OFA good.

Blitzen..Personally i will not want to use a Fast Normal or Noch SV in breeding. In my opinion OFFA has better rules ..SV is "fast food" for me..
First i will take OFFA's evaluation ,and then i will go to SV for evaluation. But as you say ,its very important the position on the Xrays
Your opinion is that my girl's hips are in danger or not?

In danger? Do you mean do I think she may not pass OFA and/or the SV? It's hard to second guess OFA and I have no clue what criteria the SV uses. The 3 OFA readers don't always just look at an xray and make a decision. They have access to many xrays of the same breed, age, and sex of the dog they are looking at to use as a comparison and to see what rating they got at 24+ months. They may also use instruments to measure things like the Norberg angle. IMO your dog will be rated borderline to fair for breed and age. Most dogs with those ratings do go on to receive an OFA clearance with another xray when they are 24 months or older. The SV will rate her at 12 months but I don't think they offer preliminary evaluations on younger dogs.

If it were my dog I wouldn't be too concerned that she won't get an OFA number. In  the interim, you can work getting her BH and a show rating if there are SV shows in your country. I assume you live in Greece?

Personally for her age she looks OK;  I think she is too young to frett;  Keep swimming her, no jumping and NO 10 mile runs at her age.  Best of luck   Nan

PS:  I have personally experienced watching dogs with GREAT rear movement;  great extension, great strength until the owner over exercised and over extended the young dog until when he/she turned 2  years old of course the hips would not clear OFA.  Sooooooo, please be smart about the amount of exercise you give any puppy until they are about 2 years old or preferably older, more near 3 years old.  Then is when you truly have a good picture of what your dog really is.  BOL  Nan

She is a lovely girl...
