What a hunk! I like his mother line a lot as well. Looking forward to seeing more of Ice!

smith, my apologies, because I must really be dense, but who/what the hell is "Andru Draga" your correspondent refers to in this message:
"Andru Draga sold to you in the USA just because ofhim, no one did not cover because after the defects were so behind him got money I do kynology for 35years and I know all the lines of both Czech andGerman"
There is no denying that exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, malabsorption, and a susceptibility to small intestine bacterial overgrowth [SIBO] has been documented in dogs of European working lines, and there are a few stud dogs who seem over-represented when one looks at the pedigrees of such affected dogs yet little to nothing is said about these ailments as it relates to the working lines. Research is on-going in an effort to identify how these conditions are passed down to subsequent generations, especially as it relates to unaffected dogs producing affected progeny, and while these issues can often be successfully managed in some affected dogs, others either have insufficient response to treatment to live a good quality life, have owners who are unable to provide lifetime treatment, or have significantly shorter lifespans due to the ailments. So naturally any reliable information regarding studs that are actively producing offspring with any of these maladies is of serious importance to anyone with an interest in the breed, especially to those interested in the European lines--thus the need to verify that your 'pen pal' is referencing the same dog being discussed as a potential breeding partner for the OP's female.
I don't doubt that it's certainly possible the information you've shared in this thread is on point--but with my non-existent fluency in any language save American English, I'm simply unable to connect "Andru Draga" to a dog named Drago vom Patriot. What am I missing to make a connection?
Edited to add: Also confusing is the reference to possible hip issues in the progeny, since the stud I'm referring to is shown to have a ZW of 74 as of March 2013...hardly suggestive of poor hip production.

Hexe, did not mean to get you all upset. Andru is my name Drago is the damn dog we are talking about he is using google translator! i asked a breeder in germany about breeding my female to Drago and what his opinion was on the pedigree and that was what he told me! Im not trying to argue about anything like most people on here love to do. From you it sounds like Drago produces healthy pups and that is all i was wanting to know because i would like a pup from him. Does that quench your hard on for a argument? I believe I was TOLD by someone in czech that kennel lazof had some problems with health issues with some pups from Drago when i was researching him for stud/pup. Contact Lazof and find out if you are so worried about it and let us know what they say.

And I should have known your name is Andru....why? Couple that with the typo of "Drag-a" instead of "Drag-o, and it could have been a completely different dog being discussed. Given that digestive disorders are a VERY significant problem to have associated with any breeding animal, it is certainly not irresponsible or argumentative to want to be sure there is no miscommunication, ESPECIALLY when there are language differences involved. Google translate, or any of the free on-line translation tools, are merely adequate when used for general conversation, and only slightly better than useless when it comes to translating dog-centric discussions because the terminology is so specific to the topic.
YOU appear to have a very low ADR threshold, my friend. Not an attractive quality in man or dog.

Low threshold for time wasting trolls and pointless post. Now I know why I haven't posted or been on this site for a long time.

Smith,
First off I do not want to trash this post that Ajones143 started. So I am going to be straight to the point.
I too was confused with the copied email post you posted....
"Andru Draga sold to you in the USA just because ofhim, no one did not cover because after the defects were so behind him got money I do kynology for 35years and I know all the lines of both Czech andGerman"
I did not think you were talking about Drago vom Patriot. I can tell there is a language barrier from the person that sent the email to you. I thought Andru Draga was a name of a dog. So Hexe was not the only one confused. I would like to know more if there are actually health issues coming STRAIGHT FROM Drago himself! There are 2 sides to every pedigree, which I know you are aware of. So maybe the dogs that your friend are refuring to health issues came from the dam line. Maybe there is a dog that is common in both Drago vom Patriots pedigree as well as the dam line, of the dogs your friend is refuring to, that caused these digestion and dyslpasia issues. Not Drago himself. I would like to see the pedigree, and first hand knowledge of the pups/adults that have these digestion and dysplasia problems coming from Drago.
I am by NO MEANS trying to be rude I honestly would like to know since I do have a Drago pup. I really do appreciate you giving the information that you have. If you find out more first hand information on this topic please post it.
Getting back on topic, if you (Smith) or anyone else for that matter are looking for a nice pup I would look into getting a pup sired by Drago. I sure am very pleased with mine. For an 8 month old pup Ice is very mature and is focused on his work. The only thing I would say negative about Drago pups is that they do tend to leak a little drive. Ice and some of the other Drago offspring (and from the videos I have seen of Drago himself) I have seen tend to whine a little bit when they get "overloaded" in drive. WHen I am talking about the "leaking drive", I am refureing to the OB phase. I knew this was going to be the case before I got Ice. So when I first started working with Ice on OB I would correct any vocalization. Ice now, for the most part, can keep his drives contained in OB.

If this was written by a person from Slovakia or Czech, the grammar is very confusing.
you guys here have prepositions, we have endings based on what we are trying to say. So let me explain
Drago, who, the name
Draga, for Drago, from Drago,
Dragovy, To Drago, giving to Drago, (davat Dragovy)
Dragom, with Drago.
It gives you and Idea.

Martina, thank you for the explanation; not being familiar with the language, I wasn't aware that the change from an 'o' to an 'a' on the dog's name was intentional and had significance as far as context of the sentence goes. You can always be counted on for helpful and useful comments, and that's why you are held in such high regard among the members of this forum.
