Dr Clemmons needs to get his work posted on sites like these:

http://www.iamscientist.com/

http://www.medstartr.com/

It functions in a way similar to Kickstarter.  Basically, the public and companies can choose to send money if they support the work being done.  I don't know if anyone here knows Dr. Clemmons to tell him, but his work is perfect for this venue of fund raising.

If an open source videogame system can raise $8 million dollars, I'm there are enough of us including vets and other acedemics that can raise a fraction of that, but Dr Clemmons will need help getting things going on the iamscientist website.

Kickstarter won't allow medical research to be posted, but here is the site for reference:

Per Marjories LInk:  I just put in $20 through a secure credit card transaction and it was very easy. There are choices for one time and for recurring. The default is a one time entry and acknowledgement was quick in being emailed.

The University of Florida has put up a donation page strictly for Dr Clemmons DM research!!!! You can now donate directly to Dr Clemmons DM research by visiting this page

Bump for Marianne, in my DM Support Group and her sweet Geogia.  It was Georgia's *time* yesterday morning, and Marianne is devastated the time had come, despite all her efforts.. DM  leaves NO survivors- not ever :(

Bump for Mindy, who had to send her beloved Blondie to the bridge today :(

The Queen song whose lyrics say "and another one down and another one down and another one bites the dust" keeps playing in my brain.
:( How many will need to be lost to this disease before some real progress is made...We need research money!!!!

Please donate to this very important cause. This is a disease that affects the American & Canadian  Showlines , the German Showlines and the working lines. Degenerative Myelopathy is a brutal and heartbreaking killer.
As Marjorie said, this disease leaves no survivors. Please help!  https://www.uff.ufl.edu/OnlineGiving/FundDetail.asp?FundCode=018139
