Why on earth would you buy a pup for that price, let alone after witnessing the female fear-bite you? That's ridiculous! And yes this breeder is not very responsible and rude, I've emailed her a couple times about pups. Way over priced for bad genetics. It's probably genetic, weak nerves, and it's a fear issue.

Yes workingdawgs and yes macrowe. Please be careful what you say on here about this breeder. Theresa

Sheesh, wondered why you were hinting @ discretion, so a'surfin' I did go.  Interesting reading material here:

Takes a bit of scrolling to find the connection...

What's true? Who knows.  I'm inclined to give cesspools wide berth, rather than speculate on whether they're full or not.

Sadly, there are more stories... I REALLY wish people/ buyers would educate themselves BEFORE making a HUGE investment/mistake. BTW- totally genetic.

I know I've seen that girl and house in the past, just can't remember where.

Is that Panther here on the PDB?

Mercy have mercy// I am worn out after reading all of that....

No problem with anyones posting here...truth is truth and fact is fact not slander. Freedom of speech allows an opinion especially if the poster has talked and has witnessed.

Cavalier K9?????  I assume you may want to change your mind about dealing with this one.

I dunno, Sheesh, looking at the lines the breeder is using, I didn't see anything that threw red flags in the air as far as shy-sharp temperament goes, which it sounds like at least two of the issues that were mentioned here would be described...so I wonder if it's not so much genetics as it is selection of individual breeding stock--the puppies learn from their mother, so if she's shy-sharp around strangers, what behavior would we expect her pups to model?  The breeder has some beautiful dogs, even though I'd no more pay that kind of money for a pup than I would get a blood transfusion from an IV-drug addicted prostitute.

That's quite an analogy Hexe! LOl! I stand by my assessment. If one breeds weak nerved dogs, that is precisely what you get. Nerviness/unsure begets nerviness/unsure. Of this I am certain. Theresa

<G> That's how strongly I feel about not paying some ridiculous price for *any* animal that I will give my heart to while knowing that, through no fault of anyone, it could easily die a few weeks or months later, or develop some awful condition that will require me taking a second job to manage.  At least if I pay out that kind of money for a cow, if things don't work out as planned, it can still feed somebody (human or canine--though it would have to be some other human, 'cause I can't eat my own cows)!

As for the temperament issues mentioned, I'll concede the point to you, Theresa, since you had direct experience with the breeder and/or her dogs whereas I have none.  One does have to wonder whether some people are actually *drawn* to weak or shallow-nerved dogs, the way others are attracted to wounded creatures (or people)...how else to understand why they'd continue to breed faulty temperament?
