I changed my pool over to a salt water generator. It is not terribly expensive to do so, and its much better for me and the dogs!

BOtanical: yes , it is easy to keep all the levels proper , as I have 22 yrs of keeping a pool  with a husband and without one.

This is the pool I left behind. MY daughter was on the swim team, and chlorine levels in High schools, public systems in ymca, Baptist church camps is very high and you burn and stink..HOME pools are easier to keep but chlorine was always the gripe for everyone who ever swam in the old style pool

WE  have mega families here in TYLER at our church who have pools and they hate the chlorine smell, the eyes burn and the swim suits fade..so IT IS NOT JUST MY opinion, but those of many who one by one are changing their pools over to salt water. MY brother in law in Oklahoma, now dead, built pools and he used sand filters and we had carthridge..Also may be another subject as to why chlorine was more potent...My levels were , as you see above...good. YOU cannot have a shining pool sparkling with levels that are off.  My life was built around this pool  >After the death of my husband I had the screen room built over the pool. We fought leaves by buckets full all the time so by myself I could not keep it . After moving I said no more pools but my daughter built theirs and they love the salt water. It is all how you like it. Every pool system is different I suppose, so just happy  to go visit and let someone else pay the bills.

I love to swim and my dogs love it but to the lake . I have a creek on my property but we fenced it off because of not knowing what people down the roads can throw in creek that comes into mine and it can kill your dogs..People dump here in the country and have no respect for what it does to others water that flows in their property.

Dogs loved the creek till we noticed weird things floating thru...when my females were pg I put up the fence, as I could not take a chance.
