I don't like to post on this forum much anymore because it is just ridiculous. The ears thing is just another example. This term "fear biter" is thrown around constantly and 95% of the people throwing it around are using it to incorrectly describe behavior. Where is the break over point at which a dog goes from being aggressive to being a fear biter? Is there some sort of imaginary line I am not recognizing? This is why this forum is ridiculous. You people can't even agree on what to disagree on. Have a wonderful day. :)

I would thing it would be imposible to say w/o seeing inperson and observing the handler. I would say try working with different people.
Are you by chance unsure of fearful of him, even in the slightest.
My initial thought was that he was in pain or hurt, even an ear infection.

yep, its not fair to try to diagnose anything without seeing in person
