Oh, ok, Lakewood. It's better to let thousands of people reading this think you're right and that potassium chloride is lethal and that Pedigree is better than Timberwolf or anything else with potassium chloride.   I think I was rather tactful, actually.

Mollyandjack, yeah a lot of them have imo too much salt. I notice a huge increase in water consumption on days where mine get kibble. I think it's even worse when they're not used to it. I am sometimes awakened by the toilet lid slamming down. LOL

HAHAHA that has happened to me as well!

Jack always drank water like he was dying in a desert, so being switched to raw was like night and day for him. Molly has a much hardier constitution and I only ever noticed her drinking more on the Timberwolf. Something about it just didn't agree with her. Jack never got any Timberwolf because at the time he was eating boiled chicken and metronidazole...

Yeah, some are just waterhogs. Caleb will drink as much as he can hold and then dump the bucket so no one else can have any. He's obsessed with water- he can turn on faucets, loves loves loves to swim, works the water dispenser on the fridge, turns toilets into geysers w/his special plumbing skills, etc. It is sometimes hard to tell when he's actually really thristy and when he's simply being possessive of one of his favorite things. I did notice a big increase with the salmon Nature's Domain, but not so much the turkey. I don't remember that being a big issue with Timberwolf, but I sold it many years ago and they may have changed the formula (I know they did, actually). Right now I'm trying to put some weight on the big boy (no easy feat!) and have been feeding a raw meal and a kibble mixed w/THK and I don't notice nearly as much increase in water consumption w/the addition of the THK.

Another interesting thing about adding THK (both Embark and Force right now) is that ALL my dogs have stopped eating grass. I guess they weren't getting enough roughage/veggies. I was starting to worry about giardia, but it was practically overnight- a couple days later I was outside and noticed not one dog was grazing. It's easier for me to use the THK than puree enough veggies for all of them. Expensive as hell, but easier!

I feed the THK, too. The dogs love it more than meat, and I've also noticed less grass-eating. It does make me cringe when I write the check...

Also, I would pay to see this toilet-geyser thing.

Toilet geyser thankfully hasn't happened in a few years. It's accomplished by tampering with some valves and piercing a few hoses. ;-)  Oh, what a lovely slip and slide we can make in the hallway when we do this! It's even better than the one we make in the kitchen with the water and ice dispenser from the fridge. He's grown up now; that was kid stuff. LOL

I recently ordered 2 big boxes of Embark and Force, packaged together, for about $130 including shipping. If you want, I'll see where I got it and let you know.

I never once said that pedigree is better. I Said that "I" feed pedigree to My dogs. As far as the timberwolf brand is concerned , I simply said that particular one I listed had that ingredient in it.
What is a matter of conern on this forum is that most people seem to the only one who is correct. WHY can't we ALL just simply say , This is my personal opinion and leave it at that. Seems to me that there is a lot of back biting going on here.

Opinion?! LOL

I don't see a matter of opinion here at all. I see blatantly false information. It's a fact- potassium chloride, like MOST things, can either help or harm- it's dosage dependent. You can argue all day on your opinion and I won't say a word. This is being presented as "fact" and you're wrong.
