Same for U.S. shows?

From what I understand Fred, is that USCA is saying the long coat entries almost doubled from last year. It appears to me that it is going to take a while before long coats are truly accepted and embraced. Too much stigma for so long to expect anything different, in my opinion. Debby

DJC, BRynjulf, Sitas Mom,
Your numbers about the other nationals are skewed. Compare apples to apples. all 3 mentioned events only had 8 dogs to fail bitework. not the huge numbers you are mentioning. some scores higher than others but all in all on 8 actually failed the bitework vs. 11 failing at usa seiger show. comparing apples to apples.
85 entries and 11 failed(seiger show
199 entries and 8 failed.{usca nationals,awdf, wda nationals)

Apples to apples.....

One issue with sieger shows is that the helpers are too easy on the dogs......I wish the same level was expected and given for all dogs.
OH well.

People are blind on every side - the workingline folks often don´t care about standard, the showline folks often don´t care about working ability.
BOTH are wrong - my personal opinion.

You are correct in your assessment particularly in the States. However, some do care AND walk the talk.
As a small example, there were five dogs who participated at both the Working Dog Championship and Sieger Show.
Best to you,
Kevin

I find the comparison of those failing bitework at a seiger show to those failing a trial to be laughable. Are you really serious with your comparison?
