The merging together of the KC "Accredited Breeders Scheme", and the "Accredited GSD Scheme" was always on the cards, and very predictable. I just hope it is done very satisfactory. My thoughts go back to the day I put the idea to Sue of an Accredited GSD Scheme" and a little later telling her it may be appropriate to prepare a draft document merging it with the KC ABS, as this may be the only way forward.. This development could be a positive one for our breed, we shall see.

Lets hope so David, we can but only wait and see and if necessary the backup plan (as was earlier displayed on your website as the Accredited GSD Scheme) has already being written!! As the Boy Scouts say, 'Be Prepared' or is that 'Fail to prepare and prepare to fail?' whichever it is both applies as the GSD Fraternity ARE PREPARED ON ALL FRONTS, BACKS AND BEHINDS!! lol

Well said Sue - I am hopeful that this particular journey for our breed will, at the very least, open many eyes and minds to the promising future our breed can strive towards, with or without the KC. We simply need to put the fundamentals in place, co-operate when required, and prepare ourselves. There are many and varied talents amongst our GSD fraternity, our history has always established this fact, we need to give them opportunities to use their talents, and give due regard to their thoughts and ideas, and discuss and select those that may make a positive contribution to improved prospects for our breed. Over recent years many ideas have been proffered, by various people in our breed, they appeared to have been lost or ignored, it is heartening that several of them appear to be coming together at this crucial time. Who knows, a Regional Structure, and introduction of Regional (Landesgruppen) Events, and several other very promising idea's that are out there, may one day see fruition.
