Okay, well does anyone know of a good club to join in Kentucky that's near either Louisville or Lexington?

I believe Ulko was owned by Drache Feld in the US. Lucky for you, this kennel is in Kentucky, near Lexington (Winchester). I haven't been that active in SV type shows in the past year or so, but when I used to go to a lot more shows, Charlie Starr was running this kennel and bringing dogs to many shows and trials. According to the website, it looks like he is still doing this. He could probably tell you a lot about Ulko and tell you what clubs are in this area. Also lucky for you, there is a decent size SV show in Lexington at the horse park April 11, would be a great chance to get out and meet dogs and breeders from the area (I know many from KY, TN, IN, IL, MI that attend this event every year), find out what clubs people are training with!

German Shepherd Bluegrass Classic
Conformation show Saturday April 11th
Registration 8-9 am under pavilion at the horse park camp ground site.
Show will start at 9:30 females before males and long coated classes after each stock class.
Judges dinner Saturday April 11th 7pm at Winchester Country Club. Dinner and cash bar.
Sunday April 12th Breed Survey at Drachefeld kennels. 8 am check in, 9 am start.

I was already planning on attending that show. A friend of mine is actually taking her two dogs to show them and she is coming all the way from PA. This is something I'm really looking forward to. I was planning to go last year with her but things happened and we ended up not going. Will definitely contact Drache Feld about Ulko.
