and substituted cropped Pit ears ? Wow, I thought they'd just done
a nice what-Nans-said, 'artsy fartsy' job on the photo ! Now I'm even
more impressed with the edit suite !
Bebo: Thanks for confirming; I don't do much youtubeing etc so had
never seen it before.

to show you pix of Saxon, the Shiloh in the UK I talked about ? Well apart from
the lack of ears, and no view of his odd pelvic structure, this one was a
dead ringer for him : face, coat length, colour.

The breed standard calls for small, triangular ears. Due to the large amount of American show line GSD blood in the breed as opposed to the small amount of giant malemute (from just ONE dog) the ears are still a work in progress.
But, yep, that dog definitely COULD pass for a Shiloh!
True confession time: I no longer have my Shiloh. She was so timid I rehomed her to a pet home.
I no longer support the breed. Watering down temperaments to make the dog easier for the average joe to handle is one thing. Watering then down so much that you get congenital spooks, then blame the owner of the dog for the femperament is quite another!
