Ava does not have any problems with digestion, dysplasia or her front end.
She's only 8 months old, so she's not done maturing, but so far I really like her. Great food and toy drives, confident, extremely athletic and is good in the house
She's a big girl (60lbs) but still looks feminine, has nice bone and deep pigment, full correct dentition, dark eyes, and nice tight feet.
She does have a softer ear and they took a while to come completely erect but they set nice on her head and have a pretty shape.
She's line bred on Yoshy.
I would be happy to send you pictures and her breeders information so you can ask him how he likes the rest of the litter.
Good Luck :)

Clc please send me pictures! My email is ajones143.aj@gmail.com. I've heard he produces strong females. I'll be keeping one of each sex from this litter I do.

My puppy, Ice, does not have any digestion issues... I have not done the prelims on his hips/elbows yet so I can not comment on that part. But I did check out the ZW score on both Drago and my puppies dam. The litter has a ZW of 80. Ice has good food and toy drives... is very willing to please and is very easy to train. He learns quickly and has great focus. He too, like his sister, is very agile. Ice is probably close to 70 pounds now at 8 months old. He has good conformation, tight feet, very nice head, good ear set, correct shoulder, neck is a little long but still proportional, straight back and not roached, good tail set, he is a little short in the croup which makes him move a little short in the rear gait.. That is the only fault I see in him now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this pup. Ice is DM - CLEAR as well.
From what I have seen I would get another Drago pup in a heartbeat. I love the motherline to my pup as well. Ice's dam is a very nice female. I have not met her but have talked to her owner as well as other people that have met her. She has great drives and a very sound temperament.
When I am looking for a pup I look more into the dam line. I want to see a strong work ethic. I, personally, place more empasis on the motherline. There are so many very nice males, but not as often do I see or hear about the dam line. So koodos to you for doing the research like you are.
Nice pedigree on your female too.

Interesting your contact would say that no one wanted to breed to him in Europe because of health issues.
Based on what Mr. Hanrahan told me your contacts statement is contradictory. Also, when I was researching Drago I did not find any high numbers of dysplasia or hear of any other health issues.
At any rate, with 35 years of experience your contact obviously has some connections. Can he back his statement up with facts or is this just rumor?
Seriously, I would be interested to know just how many puppies of Drago's have serious health issues and what they are.
Thanks,
Cheri

I too would like to know the validity to your statement from the contact you have. I have heard the opposite as well... like clc29 said. I have heard that Drago has produced good hips and there have not been any health issues that I have heard of.
I too would really like to know.
Thanks Jyl

I really love my girl. She's exceptionally strong and I've never owned a dog that had THIS high of drives...She's very intense, but again completely stable and very calm when not in drive and my 4 year old hugging and leaning on her. I want a male version of her to start as a pup and title myself. She's a more of a masculine female as well, I think her and Drago would make some good looking dogs that work. :)
I agree the mother line is very important. I just want to make the best decision possible to get what I want and the breed as a whole in mind.
