DenWolf

by DenWolf on 25 June 2013 - 17:06

She moved out east of here..  no fires in that part of the state, just severe wind/hail and some smallish tornadoes recently.

I also passed by "Gunbil".. no damage their, but I think they probably were in the initial evac area.

That fire is out.. the big one now is the South Fork area fire... 3-4 miles from the town.

Sitsmom, are you driving here this summer, by any chance??

by Blitzen on 25 June 2013 - 19:06

I emailed Hodie, no response  yet.

DenWolf, we just got back from 2 weeks in Westcliffe. Hot, dry, dusty and smoky. We might be back in August, not sure yet.
The south forks fire is huge! Got some photos on the way out.

I just hope no one here offended Hodie. But, if at all, anyone did, i ask for forgiveness. We argue, disagree, agree, while sometimes we sit on d fence. What matters is that we've come to know each other here, and as long as we're humans, errors, mistakes, anger, abusive words, disappointments, conflics, are all part of d human interaction. Even as i write, i still wonder why this "marriage" is being broken. The gsd is the ring that held n bound us together but the vows are being broken, too. Though my heart is heavy but it's good to hear Hodie's fine. . . come back Hodie, come back to pdb n take your place. You've left many hearts broken by your exit. @Denwolf, thanks for helping check Hodie, but, i'm afraid, you'll help us again, tell her we need her and that even if others are dining, her ferk n spoon, knife and meal waits for her. Personally, i can't forget her.

Niger, Hodie gave up on this board  years ago. She was insulted here, called horrible names, and treated very badly. I think she just decided that she no longer needed to deal with those mean spirited people.

I miss her too and am sad that she opts to not answer my emails anymore, we were good friends once. However, I understand that she probably wants to cut off all contact with the GSD world. It can be a cruel place for those who have a good heart and who only want to help make it better for others. Hodie has no hidden agendas; she has always been the real deal.

If I do hear from her, I will be sure to tell her what you said about her. I think that would make her feel proud.

I'm glad to hear Hodie is okay and Euroshepherd too. I live in northern Colorado where we've had no fires (so far) but lots of smoke.

Blitzen, I kept in touch with Hodie for a while after she left this board and you are right. She was seriously fed up with it. We lost touch when she got really busy with new contract work. If she's still that busy, I doubt she has the energy to post here.

Sam,  I'm hoping that's why I haven't heard from her in so long.

Thank you for your concern :)   I'm sorry to hear about Hodie, glad she's safe, she shared a lot of excellent knowledge here.

I do still regularly pass by here to read a few now and then, but haven't had much time/energy to be making posts.  Right now my dad is doing ok, his current treatments seem to be doing well for him.

(side note, in case of any confusion, I'm not in Colorado or anywhere near any wildfires)

Last I talked to Hodie was several years ago, but I think of her often, & wonder how she's doing. Thanks DenWolf for checking on her, I can't imagine she was happy about that. A very proud lady, Hodie is. I do hope she is in good health, & doing OK. I miss her intelligence & wit. jackie harris

I'm glad to hear Hodie is ok.   I certainly understand her never wanting to post here again.   She was very knowledgeable and helped a lot of people, she was an excellent resource for information. Hodie was one of several knowledgeable posters that no longer post here. It is a shame.
