Gotta put him on someone like Kent Boyles who will finish him fast. The worse is over, both majors.

That's part of the problem. To finish him, all it takes is a big name handler. Just write a check and it's done.

We placed in front of Kent twice to get his two majors. That's how we like to compete, with the best dog, not the right handler. The AKC just needs to have some good judges and the rest falls into place.

If we can compete with a good dog and get what we earn. The AKC Championship has value. It's an accomplishment that was earned. If all we have to do is write a check, big one at that, and he's an American Champion. What value is that?

That's a good approach to life in general.

It's all a game that either we play by the unwritten rules that are in place or we don't win. How many dogs do well at the Sieger or another prestigious SV show without a well known pro?  At any rate, if you want to finish him, I hope that happens. He's a good dog, better than most of the AKC dogs in the ring today. Good luck.

I am totally addicted to sables.. and find that I much prefer the Red Sable. I love Dark Sable but the Red Sable just has a bit more...Eye Candy  appeal to me lol

Love my sable boy :) Natural stance... The best thing about sables is that they come in SO many colors and varieties

I love them too... and am hoping for my next dog to be a sable as well. :) But I will always have a soft spot for the solid blacks... Heart

Aaaah, Rik, little Silas. I loved him the minute I saw him at the show. His movement was most impressive. And when comparing to the Walco pups, his shoulder angulation wasnt as extreme allowing for a better opening of the shoulder when gaiting.
