I wanted to expose my GSD to public transportation a few years ago.I saw a bus stopped as i was walking by i asked the lady bus driver if i could bring my dog on the bus and she said "If you tell me it is a service dog and it behaves no problem" i never took my dog on the bus but i think that is interesting.

I think if the OP does a little research they might find a solution to their situation.

Just saying good bad or indifferent. Just the facts of my great experience here.

You may have got the same answer if you had a Shih Tzu.  Unless they are service dogs, all dogs are generally banned from public transportation because they are dogs, not because of the breed.

The Tampa, FL area is relatively dog friendly compared to other places I've been. Many restaurants with outdoor seating allow well behaved dogs as long as the area can be accessed without passing through the restaurant. Almost every weekend there's some sort of pet dog activity going on around here - Bark in the Park, stuff like that.

I'm not sure this is the right forum to discuss gun laws, Mario.

I completely agree with Blitzen. We live in Tampa, Fl and there is alot to do with our dogs. We also live in an apt. Who is ok with us having our GSD but yet don't allow Rotities, pits, etc. it took us awhile to find this apt because most won't allow this breed and there's nothing we could do it a liability issue for most housing.
