Hey Zigzag,
One way I get a super fast, sharp sit is by taking it out of the heeling equation and practice it, along with down and stand. I use a chuck-it, 2 balls and off lead.
This really only works with a dog that retrieves. The faster the dog sits, downs, stands the faster he gets the second ball thrown. If you do it just right, the dog
does not have time to sit sloppy.... meaning that just as soon as his rear hits the ground, the second ball gets chucked. After you have good, fast sits out of the
heeling exercise, add heeling in. Reward immediately for fast, correct sits.

I got him from Rick Anton. And my understanding is he is partners Eisenberg kennels in Canada. This boy is always turning heads and then you get don't go near the mean dog.I do tell people he is very social then I hear he loks mean .lol I have even heard he isn't purebred he is mixed with wolf.Last vet visit (2 wks ago) he weighed in @ 88 lbs.As you can see he is lean and not fat just muscles.I've always fed my dogs TOTW well seems like they were getting very soft stools and eye snots. The eye gunk was an every morning thing.About 6 weeks ago switch to Blue Buffalo.I have to say coat very shiney, gunk in eyes gone and nice stools.
Ok I'll stop rambling and again thanks for the advice.

Sorry I should've mentioned that I heard he sold all his dogs.I tell ya I can't be more happy with this dog.I swear half the time he knows just what I'm thinking.(except for the good sitting) lol But we are working on that. This boy even has a good judge of character. When people come in the house he will greet you and maybe if he likes you he will hang for a petting then he goes back to his business. But if he isn't sure of you lays right down and always eye on ya.And when both eyes are shut they really aren't lol
Melba thanks for that advice. This boys drive for a ball is off the wall. Today I'll try to get video and see if I can download here.
Thanks everyone

Extremely interesting pedigree, these are German combinations I would look
at seriously if I was in the market for another dog; the Canadian end is less
useful to me, being in England. (Sorry).
He is VERY handsome; if his work matches up to his looks he could be a great
dog when mature. Keep on keeping us posted, will be fascinated to see how he
develops.

Just wanted to stop in and say "Thanks with all the advice" He is improving we are doing the wall heel took him abit to understand because his focus is good (Ball in hand).I guess he kind of felt crowed.
Melba,
He is really enjoying the 2 balls.I do have to say it has improved the quickness of his sits. The thing is seems like i'm tiring out quicker than him.lol The boy will go for hours.
Thanks
