my boy is in southern OH too with a trainer right now, he has very good lines and real strong  in work he is from Lasso, Wallace,Karly,Esko,Lord lines. his OB is  not the best as it bores him , so that would be his weakness. my boy teddy is one of those Fun types. and want to play all the time. i hope to have him home soon. he is a SL. he does have very good nerves, which is very important too. there are many things  i would want  in a SL  if i would buy one for work/show.

Thanks VTCoach but I have goals to meet with my boy before I bring another pup into the family. All my time and attention need to go to him right now. I'm hoping to have those goals reached within a year.

Take a look at a minimum of three generations.  Now look at the bitch side.  How many bitches have more than a Sch 1 title.  I like to see alot of 2's and 3's in there.  Both Sire and Dam side.  The more 3's I see in the pedigree the more confident I am in the workability of the puppies.  Now this is not the end all be all but I like to see a super strong bitch as the dam.

VickOH Nice male. I like dogs from his kennel. I'd look for vom Arlett dogs as they seem to do well in protection. It is hard to go wrong with Ursus or Hill, but you can also look at Rotten Mater or Holtkamper See dogs. Look at the kennel's breeding record to get a feel for what they breed towards. Some SL kennels breed place priority on work ability without neglecting conformation.

I like Kirschental lines because Karl Fuller's goal was to breed the total dog most of these dogs will have HGH titles alot of the males will have both HGH and Sch/IPO titles,  One of the toughest females I ever had was from the Kirschental kennel.

Other dogs that I think represent the total dog are Zambo v Riedschlurgi, and Griff v Temar.  I have females from both of these males so I will be looking for good males to breed them to in the future.

Best Regards,
Cheryl

I"ll just use REMO,

and his conformation is surperb.

You really can't go wrong with a Bullinger dog. Tracey has a lot of the best lines, and definately breeds for workability.Since you still have awhile before you plan on getting a pup, it wouldn't hurt to give her a call and tell her what you are looking for. I am sure her breedings are very well planned out long before they occur.AND, best of all, you are guaranteed not to get ripped off, and lifetime support with your dog.
