I'm sure you love your dogs very much, as I love mine. Please consider the fact, before you breed them, that we are currently in an extremely bad economy. Countless people have had to give up beloved pets because of job loss and because they have lost their homes.
Go to Petfinder.com and do a search for "German Shepherd". Do a number of searches in different parts of the U.S. The number of shepherds needing homes is mind-boggling.
There are lots of very knowledgeable people, people with years of experience, who have cut way back on future plans to breed. They care about their pups and they do not want to risk those pups ending up in a shelter a year or so down the road if the economy gets worse. As an aside, those breeders may be breeding to produce performance dogs or show dogs but they will have plenty of great pet pups, in addition to the one or two outstanding individuals in a litter.
