Her white count would be high with an infection I would think. Do listen to your vet however we have had females on amoxi! Little gets through to the pups and it is safe. Again ask and listen to your vet.
As a matter of fact we have powdered Amoxi ready to mix on hand for pups from our vet.

My concerns would be more about her calcium level and make sure she is properly hydrated. Amoxxi is generally considered safe for nursing Moms.

Okay, I missed that! Low calcium can kill. And, of course, the more milk the puppies take, the lower it's going to get!

Feed the bitch raw liver, and make Malt o Meal for her with her kibble or meat.. It is high in Folic and the other option is to buy canned PUPPY food and feed bitch..
My vet always had me feed canned puppy food for one week with raw liver two weeks on both sides of the process..
Also yu can sprinkle Dried Milk over Bitch's food also ...contains calcium naturally or also give yogurt or cottage cheese three times a day...small amounts of everything added so not to upset stomach ....
then increase each day to bigger amounts..
No calcium tablets...can be dangerous to mother's glands and does not disolve properly..Feed things with calcium in the food unless you get in a danger zone.
