Your old girl is very beautiful & has some of the best in German showlines in her pedigree. I, too, wish she could tell her story. It would be of coming from royal parentage to the dispair of a shelter; where she found a love to last her 'til the end of time, & friends, too! Very romantic! Good for you for rescuing these oldsters, they will love you just as much as any pup would!

You are echoing my exact thoughts regarding wishing that she could tell her story.  I agree with the comment that at one time someone had the intention of doing something with her.  She is very well-behaved and I'm sure someone devoted quite a bit of time working with her when she was younger.  Her background really is a mystery, but I thank you for helping me know a little bit about her past.  I had no idea about the champions in her background, but I suspected that she came from fairly good breeding.  Any vet that I have taken her to has commented that "she's very well built" and that they don't typically see german shepherds with a build as good as hers.  Sadly, that may be more of a comment on some of the questionable breeding practices out there than a credit to Enny's breeding, but that's another story, right?

About her right ear, it actually has a tattoo in it.  It's very worn and I'm unable to make out what it is.  I'm guessing that her inability to perk up that ear is a result of the tattoo, but I don't know for sure
