Silbersee

kamgsd,
I know and I pulled the pedigree up by name already. That is why I referred the question to be answered by the breeder. But what do I know? We had breeders come on here and told us that through some genetic miracle certain coat colors all of the sudden appeared, the latest one brindle I believe. So, I won't add my opinion about something like that - better not do. To each their own!

newshep,
breeding for blue, liver and white is against the breed standard. Anybody doing that does not deserve to be called a "breeder of German Shepherd Dogs". JMHO!
As to somebody advertising no Timo, you have to ask why! Maybe, that is to emphasize on the rare bloodlines, who knows! I have known Timo personally since he was a young dog, and I am an absolute fan, nothing wrong with him from my perspective!

Maybe the breeder is lying about the pedigree info and she is out of another dog and trying to pass it off as this breeding? Would not be the first time I have heard of that either.

if both parents are black/tan then there is NO possibility any pup can be sable.  At least one parent must be sable to produce any sables.  So the pup must be black/tan, or as someone said - blue.

The pups eye colour does not look right for a blue, I'd say she is a black/tan.  In UK I have heard people refer to a black and tan as black and sable because they simply don't know sable is a pattern and think it means the same as brown and I have also heard the "bitch stripe" referred to as "sabling" by  a Ch Show judge.  Going by the database, the A litter is presumeably the first litter bred under this affix so this person has been breeding for 2 years and hopefully still learning,

The reference to "Timo free" is attached to the statement "no working lines" so my guess is this breeder thinks Timo is a working line dog and  has no clue about colour or working lines.

Just my guess.

jbaker,
your puppy must be out of Czech lines because of that dark coloring at a young age already. How old is she? 6 weeks?
Showline sables would not have this kind of sable coloring.
Here is one of my sable puppies at age 8 weeks, sire is V-Nick vom Holtkaemper Hof SchH3 KKL1a and dam is V-Gina vom Silbersee, SchH1 KKL1a:

They look like cream to red colored little coyotes, lol. But you can clearly see the black coming in. It starts as a "ring around the tail". By the time the puppy is a few months old, he will have lots of black, sometimes more than a so-called black and tan/red.

In Germany "sable" isnt used or at least wasn't in the past. They are/were referred to as "grey" for that color.

Bonjour, pas facile de suivre votre conversation car je ne parle pas anglais.
Voici une jeune chienne. En France on appelle sa couleur "Fauve Charbonnée"
