well jaymesie 51-i have done as you asked, that is trawled back over you posts and i don't see anywhere where you think its morally wrong and can put people off showing ( so that means your in favour of committe members using their influences with other committe menbers or entering their own shows ) .in fact can't find any reference to the border union show from you and yet aren't you from up there in that part of the uk ? so i thought you might have noticed !
and you had the gaul a little while back to star a thread on the decline of the gsd show scene-now you are either megga thick or an ostrich ( head in the sand ) a back slapper-fence sitter or maybe all of those.
goodnight.

thank you sincerly for confirming my points-lets hope you never make the cc's judging list-or perhaps you already have and thats why you don't come out to condemn the practises that are rife in our showing.though you still refused to say what your opinion was on the fact that the judge and the major winner at border union-are on the SAME committe-you seem to miss the whole point wether or not the judge picked the best dogs and it just happened to be his committe mate, is NOT the point, the POINT is that to everyone else it looks bad ( that is everyone else other than you and your ilk on here ). can't you see that the next time these people judge, normal folk will say pointless entering, and that's why the show scence is in decline.
by the way you can call me all the names you like, but it don't cover up the facts.

Annie you are correct in what you say they do infact have hidden agenda's well the ones of pencil's ilk do thet know they can say what they want tell as many lies as they want with no recriminations but one day it will all come tumbling down around their cowardly knee's then the gsd world will see them for what they are jealous little people with a huge yellow streak running right down their backs

Lets take a look at Border Union (Yes i was there so i can comment even though i'm an anonymous entity...lol).
The Judge practically lives with the Dog CC/Bitch CC and Res Bitch CC owners, he is on the same committee and trains with them too.
The Res CC dog tried to bite the Judge twice and everyone seen it happen yet the dog was not penalised at all.
Nearly everyone there had heard that these animals where going to get these awards 2 weeks prior to the show hence why the entry was quite low and not many of the other wellknown keenels bother entering (was it because they knew the result prior to the show aswell).
Now how does that situation look to the new people looking to came into the show scene.......imho not very good.
There were also a few people very out spoken about it at the show and comments were made to the judge.
Don't get me wrong as Joan ad Davey Halls bitches were the best 2 females there on the day but is that because a lot of other people didn't bother entering because of the rumours?
Imho there were a few better dogs there than the Dog CC winner and the Res CC winner should'nt have won his class let alone the Reserve CC for what he did in his individual.
So you can see how this makes people feel anger or disillusioned with the show scene at the moment.
What also annoys me on here is the hypocritical nature of those claiming we're all just jealous when the shoe is on the other foot.
Example would be the SKC and because the Judge did his own thing especially in the bitch classes, you should of heeard the comments form some of the back slappers on here about the Judge didn't have a clue what he was doing and there was no thread congratulating Pat McCulloch and here bitch winning the CC.

Hi, although the points being raised are relevant to the writers who make them, perhaps this particular thread now needs to wind down, particularly as the last post mentioned two different shows, although there is a tenuous link, so perhaps somebody can start another. If another thread is to be debated re. the why's and wherefor's of judges credibility, integrity, competence and generally their qualification to undertake the task, can we leave the character assasinations out.
On a previous post i made a suggestion that the task of picking Judges should be taken out of the committee's hands. after all, in "our " never ending quest to embrace all things Germanic, surely we are not naive enough to believe that the S.V. dont pick every Judge, for every show, so why dont we adopt that practice here?
Regards, Paul Rattigan.

Watcher, I'm certain you've read sufficient posts by Pencil, to know that his is a personal vendetta for most of the time. If anyone's in any doubt, please click on Pencil to see all his previous posts!
The ideal may be, that committee members do not show at their own show/s, but this needs to be enshrined in Club rules if it is to be recognised. It's not so easy to get committee members and why would you want to be on a committee, if the one show on your "doorstep" was out of bounds?
I was not at Border Union or SKC, so I will not comment on either of these shows. I was, however, at West Yorks and hand on heart, the best bitch won the CC, imo.
There are too many "iffy tickets"; a few judges are sometimes (imo) less than honest and backscratching wins / tickets are handed out, but there are many more that we just don't agree with... we've all thought / said, "you're having a laugh", when judges have put up a dog or bitch that we don't believe should have won... but most of the time, it's simply a difference of opinion... not a dodgy win.
To state publicly, (on here or at a show) that a dog or bitch only won because the judge was bent, is pretty damning and hurtful to the owner of the dog and the judge. I would certainly question the integrity of such people!
On this thread alone, we've had elbow and hip scores brought into the equation... without doubt, that is THE Green Eyed Monster, it stinks and says a great deal about the posters. Perhaps they should write to our BC magazine, with their full names and put their case forward, or perhaps speak to Sue Belfield or Linda Barclay about their "concerns" and get the "true story" first hand.
I'm done with this thread... I think more damage is done to our breed by the attitudes of the likes of Pencil, Len, et al; why would anyone want to share a hobby with their like?
