hi, do you know why a bitch in heat is wanting to go after anything that moves, She is not aggressive with people but seems to want to "hunt" more even if it is a cat, a chicken ,a goat ,or a puppy,a squirrel. Is she thinking she has to bulk up for pups or is she something else? she eats well.

My guess would be hormones. Some females can get more aggressive , submissive, or need more attention from their owner. Things usually just got back to normal once the heat subsides. I have a friend who has a female that just cannot track when in heat too. Kinda like PMS it seems. Then some show no changes at all....

Gsdlver2, it is the hormones. I have one who will "hunt" anything that wears pants when she is in season. Bob-O
