I don't believe the sheet gave a specified time frame. Let me see if I can't pull a spec sheet.
Warnings:
Not for human use. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.
Serious adverse reactions have been reported following concomitant extra label use of ivermectin with
COMFORTIS (see POST APPROVAL EXPERIENCE).
Precautions:
COMFORTIS chewable tablets are for use in dogs and puppies 14 weeks of age and older (see ANIMAL
SAFETY).
Use with caution in breeding females (see ANIMAL SAFETY). Use with caution in dogs with pre-existing epilepsy
(see ADVERSE REACTIONS). The safe use of COMFORTIS chewable tablets in breeding males has not been
evaluated.
The following adverse reactions are based on post-approval adverse drug event reporting. The adverse reactions
are listed in decreasing order of frequency: vomiting, depression/lethargy, anorexia, ataxia, diarrhea, pruritus,
trembling, hypersalivation and seizures.
Following concomitant extra label use of ivermectin with COMFORTIS, some dogs have experienced the following
clinical signs: trembling/twitching, salivation/drooling, seizures, ataxia, mydriasis, blindness and disorientation.
Taken directly off the spec sheet.
I argued with my vet about using heartguard plus with the Comfortis and decided to switch to Interceptor. I would still not give the 2 the same day because the Comfortis can cause the dog to vomit. You would not know how much of the heart worm preventative was absorbed, if any.

I get it from my vet and he is cheaper than I have found online, about $12 per pill (one month). It is prescription only.
Also interested if anyone gets it cheaper.

I think 6-doses from my vet was about $80-ish, we have a high sales tax rate here...... Still far cheaper than Frontline-plus was costing. Glad to see others are having success with it also.

For what it is worth I use diatomaceous earth to combat fleas, worms, and ticks! Way less expensive than man made products as well as non toxic to breeding females and does not interact with other medications! food grade can be administered internally ! Non poisonous to dogs and humans and can be applied to all bedings! I combination with nematods your flea and tick and worm problems will be over for ever!
