Realizing that each female is unique-- what has been your experience? How many years are the average?

don't do much breeding anymore, but back when we did, we had several females that had 4 or 5 litters and still lived to 12, 13 or 14 yrs of age.

So far: 12, 11, 12 (still living)
Kathy Moacanin's female Rhena lived to be 16 and had had several litters.
Breeding a female doesn't seem to take anything away from their life expectancy.

My foundation female lived to be 16.5 years old and had 4 litters. Maybe more, I had 2 with her and I know the people I got her from had at least 2.
