Those of you with them please translate, share what language, what it means and why you chose it. I'll start.

Uwohiyu Shepherds

Uwohiyu is Faithful in Chreokee and I think you will all agree, the GSD is the most faithful breed. I didn't want to be like everyone else and go German, so I looked to my family background.

Some of our German, Czech, and Belgium etc. friends need to get in on this one. I would love to hear what some of these kennel names that we hear so often mean.

I original choice was Von Iceni, from Celtic Briton history. My ex-husband shot it down. I went with Von Isengard since I'm a tolkien lover.

I don't have a kennel, but my father did once upon a time, non-GSD. His kennel name was Cheems, all of our family's first name initials put together.

I went with Hass Haus (Rabitt house), but that is my maiden name, also my Great Grandfather being a brick layer in Berlin We certainly are not raising high end rabbits around here! The Germans actually flip the words...........Haus Hass would be more in line........www.hasshaus.com Trish and pack :)

One of the BEST I ever heard was for a Siberian Husky Kennel who showed back in the 70's and 80's when I had my Sib's.

It was... Chotovotka LOL (phonetically... Shot of Vodka)

My own Kennel name was Windstrom... as I couldn't decided between Windstream or Windstorm... it kind of got blurred into Windstrom... which I've been told means Wind River in German.
