I really enjoy taking Jami shopping, it is good for her to negotiate thru crowds helps with the BH in the spring. I have been asked if she is a certain breed from time to time but yesterday at the food market a lady came up and said she had never seen a shaved shepherd before. I turned to Jami and asked her if she is a shaved shepherd, she barks and I told the women my dog says no. They get so puzzled when I tell them she is a malinois.

around here they ask if my dogs a german police because there are different than german shepherd. LOL or is that a wolfdog!

When I bought my first sable GSD, in 1986, I went to my local bank and withdrew an unusually (for me) large amount of cash for the purchase. The small town bank manager sensed my excitement and asked what special thing I was planning. I told her about Emma.
Some days later I brough my "prize" into the bank and introduced her to everyone, proud as punch of my imported German Shepherd Dog.
My bank manager discreetly cautioned me that she thought, for the amount I had paid, I should have gotten a PURE BRED.

People think that my dog is a malinois because the county has Mals and my dog "just looks too SERIOUS to be a German Shepherd" haha wtf!

LOL funny stories all. Because my grown import male is 60 only pounds and sable, everyone thinks he is a mixed breed too. And a puppy.

Well I usually get this: "he is gorgeus! Wow. what is he?".. I ussualy say ." Rin Tin Tin...". I think they hate me.. heheh
