Xeph said,  "It's disappointing that people would kill a puppy simply because it's a color.  I can understand a color that is linked to serious health issues, but being liver or blue isn't a disease any more than my being black is a disease"

Totally agree with that!!!

Mahon,
thanks for being so honest, I belong to a forum, that I am sure have never seen a liver sable, my I post your photo of your two beautiful babies,
The reason being there are some young people just starting out , and I think it is a good lesson to see, the different colours we can get

Hi London Town,

Yes you may post these pics on another forum. They were intended for edjucational purposes anyway.

And if anyone is interested in either of them they are for sale on a neuter contract. For pet or working homes only! Not for breeding. They are very sound and perfectly healthy. UPD on shots and wormings. Born 01/18/2009

Thanks, mahon

I've got interested people, but they are squealing about the limited reg. nueter thing.  I told them tough.  if they want one, pet only.

they shouldn't be interested in breeding color alone.

Uberland,

There is always someone wanting to start a fad or to breed the unusual. Minature cattle, horses, donkeys, rottweilers and so on and on. I dont see the point in reproducing recessive traits but that is me. But there will be no papers without proof of neuter on these puppies. No way.

What part of Texas are you in? I'm in Tyler, N.E. Texas

The pups are gorgeous!  They should be BRED, dammit.  The breed needs more livers and the liver sable is just beautiful.  There;s nothing that suggests that recessive means lesser.

I'm not even gonna touch the ridiculousness of the last statement.
