If a female is bred before her hips were xrayed how soon after the litter is born can she be xrayed? When would her hips go back to normal?

Interesting question, but I do not have a bonifide answer. Since so many parts of a dog's life cycles repeat at sixty (60) day intervals (gestation, sperm rproduction, etc.) I would say this would be sufficient time after the whelp, and it would be nearly in the middle of the time period between the whelp and her next estrus cycle.

Best Regards,

Thats what I thought. I told my friend to wait until the pups were between 6-8 weeks before she got her xrays done.

Thanks

Uh, aren't you saddling the wrong end of the horse? The idea is to xray first, breed second. Accidental mating I assume?

Well the dog is not mine as of yet. But no I don't think it was an accidental breeding.
