615. Tyke.—Mr. F. J. Astbury's, Encliffe, Prestwich, Manchester (also owned by Mr. T. Wootton, Hon. T. W. Fitzwilliam, and Mr. F. Sale); breeder, Hon. T. W. Fitzwilliam; born 1869; colour, white, with brindled tan mark over and round one eye.
Pedigree: By Tartar (No. 592) out of Carry, by Murchison's Jock (No. 558) out of Chester Nettle, by a dog of Mr. Taylor's, of Wrexham, out of a bitch from Sir Watkin Wynn's Bart.
Chief Performances: Birmingham, 2nd prize, 1870; 1st prize, 1872; champion prize, 1873; Crystal Palace, 3rd prize, 1871 second champion prize, 1873; Nottingham, second champion prize, 1872; second champion prize, 1873; Manchester Belle Vue, 2nd prize, 1872; 1st prize, 1873; Dublin, 2nd prize champion class, 1873 (winner of fifty-three cups and prizes).
