I'm looking forward to seeing more of Marek and Molly/Atlas' progeny around the US in the next couple of year.

My Marek/Molly is doing very well. We are planning on getting him ready for a show or two this year if possible, but most of our time has been working with preparing to title him. Because I'm working with a French Ring trainer we are planning on getting his Brevet and possibly French Ring I title this fall. Next spring around his second birthday we are going to start his Schutzhund trialing. Unfortunately for him, my skills at training obedience and tracking are what are likely to hold him back the most.

In terms of what he brings to the table, he's very high-energy, loves to work, high prey drive (not as high as some of the Malinois in French Ring, but comparable to many of the full working line GSD's I see), a defensive drive we are slowly bringing out, calm nerves, great temperment and very, very intelligent. He's more handler sensitive than most working lines, but probably harder than some of the showlines I've seen around. I'm very pleased with his progress, although I continually have to hold back from pushing too much - he's really still very much a puppy. He isn't even at 16 months yet.

How are the Atlas/Molly v Laacher-haus pups looking? Have you seen them? Given my experience, I would expect them to be quite good for work and show.

Hal, I remembered that Godinghofer Weg was selling Marek. Do you know where he ended up? I'm just curious about whether or not I'll see any more of his progeny in the US.

Thanks for the info, Hal. That does sound like a great litter and it's good to see that people are bringing some nice males to Molly.My pup is certainly looking nice - he's growing up quickly - almost 9 months now. I'm cross-training him in French Ring and Schutzhund. I don't think he'll have any trouble with his Schutzhund titles - outside of my handler skills needing improvement. Just for your information Molly has now been bred to Atlas von Thurmont SchH1 But soon to be schH2. He is a son of VA Untox Ducati and V1 Wondra vom Godinghofer weg schh3 top producing female.
Atlas has made many first places in the USA. He was VP1 a the Universal sieger Show 2002 VP2 USA Sieger show in o2 and SG3 in 2003. He also made many 1st places at other shows under multiple judges.

I really liked his pedigree, kennel and background. However, I was unable to visit and meet his parents prior to purchasing and importing him from Germany. It's really great to be able to share information on this forum and I really appreciate your anwer to my question.

P.S. His mother is "Molly v. Laacher-haus", Kkl 1, Sch I, daughter of Amor and Pina Laacher-haus. I wasn't able to see her either, but the older part of her pedigree is pretty good and she seemed complimentary to Marek's pedigree. The pup has a 3-4 Hanno Wienerau, 5,4-5 Fedor Arminius, 4-5,5 Jeck Noricum linebreeding.

I know this dog very well. He comes from a fantastic litter with very good parents. He is very clear in the head has very good bitework and movement. The Dam of your puppy has alot to do with it also, but this is a very nice male.

Has anyone seen this dog work in person? Just wondered how his bitework was, etc.

I have a 6 mo. puppy of his that is doing pretty well - lots of energy and ball drive. We're mostly waiting for him to get serious as he matures. Because of that I was wondering if anyone had any opinions about Marek's ability to work and if it gives me any insight into my pup.
