Breed report
At 4 years of age, the older this dog gets, the better he gets! Having judged him before, I can only reiterate . . . a rich, dark black and tan, he is a picture of masculinity and strength from his head to his tail. A good-sized boy, he has a lovely head with excellent expression, he has a very correct temperament and stands with a great deal of self-confidence. Midas has excellent proportions, a full and deep fore-chest, very correct shoulder, high wither, iron back and a very good croup and tail set. In motion, he exhibits grace, power, suspension and elasticity of gait in the most effortless way imaginable. Midas "gold" is his handler, Bill Tank; together they present a picture of absolute harmony, the perfect team. I truly believe that, through his progeny, Midas will have an excellent and profound effect on future generations of German Shepherd Dogs.

Best of Breed: GCHS Rosewood's Midas Touch of Kansten TC has so much presence you just sort of stop and stare at him. Body outline is so in proportion that it is imposslbe for him to move any other way than correct. I had the privilege or awarding him Select at the National and I was excited to see him on grass, I was not disappointed, with no effort covering all that ground and all the parts working together. He is a total package and a real pleasure to watch.

"This is the 2nd place winner in the Open Male class. He’s a moderate size shepherd, very dark pigmentation, beautiful eyes, beautiful ears, full dentition, very clean coming and going. Beautiful breed type on this dog, nice short coupled dog, beautiful topline, nice under carriage, very good feet and pasterns, nice short hock. This was a beautiful mover and was very close between this dog and the first dog, beautiful breed type."
2016 Mid Pacific Maturity - Judge Steve Whitworth
"Handsome male. Very athletic at any speed. Good proportions with beautiful pigment. He is correct in natural stance. A true working canine athlete. Can work all day."

In one word, SPECTACULAR! I gave this dog a major 2 years ago when he was just a baby and he has matured into a magnificent representative of the breed. A rich, dark black and tan, he is a picture of masculinity and strength from his head to his tail. A good-sized boy, he has a lovely head with excellent expression; he has a very correct temperament and stands with a great deal of self-confidence. Midas has excellent proportions, a full and deep forechest, very correct shoulder, high wither, iron back and a very good croup and tailset. In motion, he exhibits grace, power, suspension and elasticity of gait in the most effortless way imaginable. On this day, Midas truly found all the gold he needed in his handler, Bill Tank. I learned that Bill had never handled Midas before and they worked together so perfectly that I barely noticed Bill at the other end of the lead. A fabulous team and a dog SO deserving of the win.
