Wow, why the hostility? Is everyone expected to know each and every stud in their area? I come across dogs I never knew were in the US pretty regularly. Not everyone who owns a fine, titled, breed worthy dog is into the clubs, trialing, or shows. So what. Doesn't mean I can't benefit from the good genes!
A few years back I asked about studs in the Midwest, even though I knew a ton of good studs in the area, I wanted to know if I was missing anyone. And guess what? I was messaged by someone who just brought their dog back from Germany and the dog was staying only an hour away. Lo and behold, the dog had everything I was looking for. Had I not posted I probably would have never known he was in my area.
I would say it's up the stud owner to decide if the bitch in question meets their requirements, not a person on the internet who doesn't know either dog. Geez, is there soem kind of beef here I don't know about?

Yeah, I'm with Kelly here. How the hell is someone who does anything but sit online all day supposed to keep up with what dogs live where? I stumbled upon one stud I used quite by accident when inquiring about another dog closely related to one of mine. Did the fact that I didn't know the dog existed, let alone lived in Wisconsin negatively impact Capri's genes? Was she less breedworthy prior to my discovery?

You said you might end up going to a czech dog why take the gamble if you have good west working lines now, then why take the gamble- you want to try to stack the odds in your favor as much as possible I would bet there are plenty of nice west working lines that will not be too closely line bred if this is what your trying to avoid, and also if you said your female is on the soft side be sure to only consider a male the is proven and known to produce hard dogs with high drive I know of a nice stud up in mich. and at a very fair price but sounds like you are only looking in the SE area good luck on your search.
