There may be more than a little confusion about the information provided. However, so long as 'Truman' stays healthy & happy and fulfils the brief his mom wants for him, whether that be pet &/or 'protection', or introductory sports, there should be no worries. But if wanted for breeding or Conformation or serious competition, personally I'd have been asking much harder questions, especially about the sire.

Sire is from a Canadian kennel

http://www.wofenhaus.com/index.html

that breeds West German show LINES.

There is a previous post re Riverside kennel on this db. See above search forums. Suggest you read it.

I'm pretty sure I know who Hera's current owner is. I'll verify and have her chime in. UPDATE: Wrong Hera. I don't know the owner after all. My bad :)

I see that now, a couple of months down the line, Enzo IS being listed as one of Riverside's own stud dogs. As TIG records, the Wofenhaus kennel breeds WGSL type - but they seem to have an unannounced sideline in 'Working Line' breeding.  [For the SLs, it seems from elsewhere that Wofenhaus are certainly not averse to using high show graded Canadian and American studs none the less. Which as often as not, do come from Ambred (not German) stock; although that's not depicted on the website pics of Riverside's studs, so clearly Carlo knows what he wants].

Riverside do seem to have quite a lot of dogs ...

On the face of it, looking at the 'front' pages of the Riverside website, and the topic link from TIG, this might be a breeder I would pass by, chiefly for the failures noted, to display health test results and so on. But looking a bit further around their site, they do seem to have a lot of very satisfied customers, genuine-looking letters with lots of photos; some of quite long lived dogs. There clearly are some nice family dogs coming out of the kennel, and a couple that work successfully, also.  Despite no clear indication of the kennel's aims for the breed.
