Pavro is horrible...completely heartbreaking!
There's a new and stronger strain of parvo that has come to America that is devastating, not sure if American vaccinations work against it yet.
I pray that every bitch is being vaccinated so antibodies are available to her puppies.
Studies have shown puppies being vaccinated against parvo (parvo only vaccine) at a very early age...as early as 3-4 weeks during outbreaks.

It's time for all of use to send a prayer or to asking for this outbreak is squelched as soon as possible, who knows, it could be us next time.

The rest of the info, I have not been there, I also pray that conditions are not as rumored.

If conditions are not exaggerated than its all in the open, and change will be forced...

I have recieved and read the AC report  At the time of the report there were Fourteen dead puppies, pictures of the ouside dogs living quarters and mention of the dogs who live only in crates.

 

Why were the photos taken down again? I realize they are extremely disturbing, but if they have been proven to be legit, then why delete them? Maybe a warning should be posted though because the images are pretty horrible.

Did anyone else think one of the puppies in the garbage bag looked like it may have been still alive? I have never seen a dead animal's eyes reflect light the way that photo showed. Taken with a flash, it's eye looked very much alive. I certainly hope that puppy was not thrown in that bag still alive. Bad enough to throw puppies out like trash when they are dead.

If you will not post, will you give us instructions on how to receive a copy?

I feel I have the right to know, as I've referred clients to Mittlewest, having no idea of what the conditions were. I feel that I need to know, so that I can contact these clients, and warn them.

Here is the last report regarding inspection that the Department of Agriculture performed yesterday, Feb. 22nd. (attached) All was inspected, and the inspector was beyond impressed as they typically are when the visit Mittelwest. We keep our place nicer and cleaner than most veterinarian clinics, and our dog's kennels, we are told by all who visit, are the nicest and cleanest they have ever seen anywhere they have been.

Also, whomever posted that we have all of the dogs that are on shown on our website, here on Mittelwest property, is beyond absurd, and trying to be inflammatory and just writing complete dishonesty.

The photographs on our website of retired breeding females and males that date back a span of 29 years of our breeding program are for reference and honoring them and most have passed away decades ago. None of the retired dogs are here at Mittelwest! We retire our females between 6 & 7 yrs of age to family homes. Even the litters of puppies that are shown on the website are not all here at Mittelwest. The 50 puppies mentioned... 8 are my own puppies aged 3-6 months of age and the others are ALL newborn puppies from our spring litters that have just been born that are nursing on their moms. Most all of the puppies are already on reservations, the others soon will be, and will then go to their new homes when they are 8 weeks of age. Of course we have co owners with many of our best females and our excellent co owners work shoulder to shoulder with me with the female and her litter of puppies at their place, in their home, where the female lives her normal daily life. We have special whelping rooms for our mama dogs to deliver and raise their puppies, and we only have 7 whelping rooms which are typically not used at all times at the same time, but this is when the spring litters are born now and it is extremely busy now. The other litters born are also co owned with my Mittelwest trainers whom I co own several of my excellent females with, as well as a few of our long time friends, who are as experienced as I am. I think when you have this information for you to remove that posting because now you "know" that the information they posted is totally false.

One of the owners that purchased one of the original German imported puppies that brought the virus in, is an attorney in Chicago, he has been to our place multiple times he is appalled at what has been posted on the forum. He, like many reasonable people, do understand that both humans and animals can get sick from viruses and that we all do the best possible to take care of ourselves and others when they are sick. How this seems to have blown up into some sort of BEWARE OF JULIE and GRANT MITTELWEST attack is disgusting. This is also what the post is titled? Really? I will be working and trying to get more letters for you as well. I have to wait for others, so I am trying to be patient. I am going to see this through all the way. I have been advised, that an investigation is needed by professionals to be absolutely sure, that those who are attacking my reputation with any and all lies posted, and false facts posted publicly, will be discovered and revealed, not hiding behind made up login names created to slander my name and my reputation I have worked for 30 years to create.

In closing, I think it is pretty obvious, that this person/s may be another breeder or competitor, or who else, I am not sure. Although it is clear that they keep repeating themselves and trying to keep people from coming to Mittelwest training and/or from visiting Mittelwest puppies in their posts. We have tested negative for Parvo here at our property for more than three weeks + now.

We don't want to blame the owner of the puppies we imported from Germany, as the puppies did seem very healthy when they arrived, they must have surely acted fine before they left Germany and they had a perfect exam right before they left Germany. They were happy and active the moment they arrived, with remarkable character, they ate great and had solid poops. There was no reason for anyone to suspect they would begin showing symptoms just two days after arriving. I have attached the report and also photos of our mother's whelping rooms for you to see, as well as an example of one of our outdoor kennels, which we only have a few of, as most all of our kennels here are indoor/outdoor kennels with heat and air conditioning. In the winter months, the outdoor kennels are wrapped, in specially designed and purchased "winter wind walls", that are made and sold especially for wrapping the outdoor kennels in the winter months.
