The "Judges Committment Declaration for Conformation Judges BSZS" - Page 6

Mack, as far as I understand every Siegershow judge had to sign this commitment, but I don´t know if this really happened.
We could complain about judges forever, but honestly - it´s up to us to change the breed.

Why are people willing to pay a fortune for oversized / overangulated/ mediocre working dogs?
Why do people believe in placements, not in common sense?
Why do people believe in titles instead of real dogs?
Why are people not willing to train/title/show their own breeding stock?
...

As long as people are willing to pay 100.000s of Dollars for titles / show ratings nothing will change.
Why?
A lot of breeders/owners/judges will never be able to make that amount of money with regular work.

I have been in Indianapolis, and I have been in St Louis - I saw a lot of good dogs in the younger classes - how many of them will do it into the working dog classes? 5 % ? Or even less ???

Time to buy new dogs...

The irony is that whatever the shape and size of dogs considered to be top animals people will still pay top prices. So, why not breed to the breed standard and produce the correct type of dogs with the traits that are desirable in a working dog.

The SV appear to be reluctant to take any action regarding handing out penalties for oversized dogs and the Judges that placed them in high positions. The Contract appears to be just empty words.
