Sorry VK,

I don't know the dog you are referring to.

Hello all and thank you very much for the information. I apologize if my question seem to be sarcastic. I do not have a lot of money but I also don' t mind buying a puppy, as he will be my life long friend, for a certain price if it is advertise as it should be. What I do a have a problem is spending an extra $500-$1000 on non-sense claims if they are not true but I really do hope Jinopo pups are the best Czech GSP there are out there.

Hope springs eternal. My advice to you is to do more searching. Jinopo dogs are not what they were even eight or nine years ago. They seem to have drifted generally to the demand market, which is higher prey, less suspicion due to WG sport blood, for the sport market. I suggest you PM "Gustav" and "Duke1965" for more options. You can PM me, too, I you like. The in the "spirit of" is marketing.

Tabby; purchase the best dog that you are able to find and afford. Do your research. It will be the ''best friend'' of his/hers life, as you will out live this purchase. If you want to know more about this breed, take the rest of your life and enjoy. Get involved with trainers and breeders [ many] . they will all have different opinions. If you homogenize the opinion, and cull the weak or crazy mind sets you will one day understand your question. Or the answer right now is either yes! or no! that is the best line from a country, a continent or in the universe!

Most of the commonly available Czech lines are pretty well-intertwined. It would be hard to say someone has much better dogs than another when they're all so similar. The key is finding a breeder you trust to choose your puppy properly for you. :-)

I understand where you are coming from, Jenni.
IMO, all breeders are not created equal....there's more to producing good, healthy dogs than pedigrees and being able to pick the 'proper pup'. I have had litters that the quality was so deep, I could reach in and any pup I pick up is as high quality as the rest of the litter. My last two litters had that depth of quality.....when they are so equal, that it comes down to the shades of color the buyer wants in order to decide which pup to send, that's quality. How the pups are raised is of paramount importance as well.

I lump all that into choosing puppies properly. If you're producing only 3-4 decent pups per litter, well, you're not going to be making very good choices for people, then are ya? LOL

My point was more on the marketing aspect- on both sides- let's face it...the pedigrees are basically the same in different orders when speaking of the commonly advertised Czech lines. The key is how they're used and who's doing it, with what intent, and how they're evaluating and selecting everything from breeding pairs to individual puppies. Those things are what will make someone have far better pups than another imo.

One can have eight very good pups in a litter but not eight which suit the buyer.
Anyway, that was my point, that Pedigrees are not the only criteria for determining good breeders. We are in agreement, so far as I can tell.

To the OP...if you decide on a pup from the kennel in question, I caution you about joining their forum, because if you are not in lock step with their baloney, they will delete your posts and accuse you of saying things you did not ever say. They will censure your posts if you ask or state obvious truths, in order to keep their followers under their influence. Just a little advice.....don't be conned by their rhetoric.

Thank you for the heads up.
